best colorist Marie, best stylist Ron Lee – After admiring my friend's beautiful hair for years, I finally asked her who it was she went to for cut/color. I was skeptical about whether they could do the same for me, but was really impressed with the results. My boyfriend didn't want me to change my hair color, but had to admit how great and natural it looked once I had it done. It's worth the extra money to go to someone like Ron or Marie because they *know* what they are doing. Just make sure you can afford them, because it would be a shame not to be able to maintain the look...
Cedric Rocks! – Cedric is new to Elevation Salon, but she's been cutting my hair for years now and I looove her! Friendly and uber-talented, her last cut garnered huge praise, including one "That's the best haircut I've ever seen!" No kidding. My boyfriend loves the cut she gave him too. This woman is well worth it!
Trendy Salon-Decent Service – This salon has a cafe with coffe and snacks which makes the wait at a salon a little more tolerable. The service was good and my colorist and stylist were knowledgable and attentive. I left the salon with hair that was "ok" I guess this beats leaving with a "bad" hair cut or color.
ron is the best hair stylist – i've been going to see ron from elevations for 5 years now, and i simply cannot see any other hairstylist. when i have gone to other hairstylists, i end up calling ron immediately the following day to ask him for a emergency fix-it appointment. ron gives wonderful recommendations on what hairstyles would look best on me, and his haircuts can range from traditional to very artistic and stylized, depending on what you're looking for. my hair's super straight, and he gives it body, and i've also seen him work on super curly hair, and he's somehow able to tame that too. i've also gotten my hair colored at elevations... i don't remember who did it, but she did an excellent job as well.
Expansive, full-service hair salon with a wide-open, industrial vibe and the added bonus of a cafe. – In Short
This sky-lit warehouse of a salon with light-gray concrete poles and floors is lined with 32 sleek hair stations and softened by the cheerful bustle of nearly 20 hair designers. Gourmet salads and sandwiches from the salon's curved, central cafe counter are delivered directly to hair stations during lengthy or lunchtime treatments. A busy coloring center is tucked in back so no one feels "on display" during sessions. Nail and makeup services are also available.
Great service, too many people standing around – I've been coming here for 3 years to see Todd. I get a great style every time. Jane has coloured my hair many times and I have always been completely satisfied. Both of them are engaging and I have never perceived them to be snobby. I do find the people standing around doing nothing to be a turn off, although they are not as "cool" and disinterested as the receptionists. Still that won't stop me coming here.
they do not dry your hair! – how come after you pay all that money, nobody wants to even dry your hair, they just send you to a corner where you need to dry your own hair. I think this is ridicilous. Also there is a huger turnover, i saw three different stylists there in a year, and finally gave up when the third one left too.
User review by clear – I just sent in a review but forgot to fill out the above rating.
my hair loves it! (and me too) – I recommend hair colorist Melissa Wagner. She is an experienced professional and makes you hair very beautiful . Cindy Viola who cuts my hair is precise and excellent. I am always very happy with the way my hair looks since I met them !
I have never found any of the staff here to be snobbish , honestly !
There is a cafe that has good food if you need a nosh.
The only criticism I have is the interior is too bright and white and it is very hard on my eyes.
Awesome Highlights! – I would say that some of the staff here simply rocks, like Melissa Wagner, who is the best colorist in San Francisco, period. She is simply amazing, and very creative. Her looks are truly worth the money, and she is really fun and friendly. I wish the rest of Elevations staff was as cool. The reception people are very cold. And weird.
