Go for the Garlic Noodles – The Garlic Noodles and the Spring Rolls were REALLY good! Other dishes were also good.

A posh Asian fusion seafood palace that caters to the dress-code crowd. – The Scene
The exterior elevator still has a neon crab on it, but a recent renovation has transformed the erstwhile '80s-style decor into an elegant destination. Dimly lit, the dining rooms are strewn with Asian accents, such as bamboo and tassled lanterns. Quietly attentive, unfailingly pleasant service befits the high prices. A muffled, rich festivity envelops the well-groomed patrons, while hosts suavely monitor the dining rooms.

The Food

Most dishes are more reminiscent of early Asian fusion than today's elevated Euro-Vietnamese fare. Appetizers include fried wontons stuffed with a creamy crab-cheese mixture, and minced shrimp served atop broiled baguette rounds. Signature garlic noodles make an addictive complement to the whole garlic-roasted Dungeness crab--the restaurant's most popular dish. Fancily attired diners sport plastic bibs while dismantling buttery-slick shells to reach the sweet, succulent meat.

Good restaurant – I had their signature Garlic Roasted Crab which was very good, it had lots of roasted garlic in the sauce. I suggest that the kitchen reduce the amount of oil and butter for this dish. By the time I was finished, the oil coagulated on my plate which was not very appealing. A bit messy to eat, but have it cracked and it will be much easier to eat. The $5 charge for cracking the crab is a bit disappointing for a restaurant of this caliber.

BEST CRABS – This restaurants offers the best crabs and garlic noodles I have ever eaten. Everytime I go back to San Francisco, I have to come and eat here. No doubt.

MY FAVORITE! – This was the first restaurant I came to when I moved to San Francisco and to this day it remains my absolute favorite. The atmosphere is great. The food is Euro-Vietnamese and it is superb! Their small plates are all amazing! My reccomendations are the Prawn wontons, the crab puffs, calamari, and the vietnamese salad. Their specials are the real reason this restaurant is so spectacular! The roast crab is messy but worth the embarassing bib. The Tiger prawns are my personal favorite. Everything including the desserts are fabulous.

Exellent! I LOved It! – I flew in to visit my relatives and they told me that the food there was delicious. My boy friend &i went there with my family and it was so warm. :(The colors, setting and ambience.) The staff was so nice and so was the food. The crab and garlic noodles are a must have. The tamrind sauce on the wonton noodles were amazing! I also recomend the coconut prawns and new zeland mussels. If only my paycheck could allow me to eat there everyday i would. This is a great resturant and you will not regret your visit.

The best crab and garlic noodle! – I love this restaurant! If only my wallet allows me to eat there everyday, I will! The crabs are fresh and they cook it better than any other restaurants! The garlic noodle is excellent too. I also tried other foods there other than crabs and garlic noodle, I only have one word for them "EXCELLENT!" The service is perfect! The only problem is parking. Though they have valet parking available. It is very romantic and quiet. I suggest you to make a reservation in advance. You are welcome to invite me to eat there anytime!

disappointed – The crab was cold and greasy and I could even see the MSG crystal on the crab. The noodle was fine but I drank 5 glasses of water to dilute the MSG. Crab puff was still frozen inside but hot outside. I was sitting among some classless diners but it might be because of the bad neighborhood. Waiters discussed their tips of some clients within our earshot. I make garlic butter crab at home and it always tastes good. I can tell they use fake butter, frozen crab and too much secret spices. Good fresh food only needs simple indredient such as garlic, butter, salt and pepper, not ostentatious secret spices.

My Fav!!! – I've been going there for about 5 years now and it is alwasy a treat to go. I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes when I've had a reservation. The service is not the best, but the food makes up for it. I tell everyone I know about it and no one has had a negative experience yet.

crustacean made me crabby – I recently went to crustacean and it was so disappointing that I almost walked out. The waiter was so incompetent and did not react well to questions or concerns we had when our food did not arrive after a long time. Then when the food came, it was cold. I will never go there again and I will never recommend this place to anyone, not even my worst enemy!
