Good Neighborhood Place – Any time I ask my husband where he wants to go for dinner, he says "Lombardi's". It is noisy, and it can be crowded -- not a place you want to go for intimate conversations and a romantic atmosphere. However, the food is very good and the prices are resonable. I also feel very comfortable there, like I'm putting on a favorite old pair of jeans. We've gone with a large group (took my daughter & future SIL there for their engagement dinner, with extended family) -- had a great time & were treated very very well. Usually, however, there are just 2 or 4 of us.

Great eggplant Parm, nicely sized portions of all entrees. Nothing fancy, but certainly a step above a red gravy joint. As a matter of fact, I just called for a reservation for tonight.

I see that some reviewers have complained about poor service. That hasn't been my experience.

Very good – It's a small place. The seating is family style and table are close together. So if you your looking for a quite, romantic dinner look elswhere. The food is very good and its byob.

The staff is courteous and the service was prompt.

I had Eggplant parm and salad. Best I've had.

My fellow diners seemed well pleased with their food as well.

In this down economy I am happy to report that 5 were able to eat for less than $100, Including appetizer, entre, desert.. OH yes the Canoly was tops too....

Well worth a try...

Not impressed at all !!!!!!!!!!! – We went for dinner on a Tuesday night before the rush. Hostess was miserable and was put out that she had to seat us. Service continued down the same road. Tables are too close together and atmosphiere is Loud. Food was very good. It's a shame none of the service personal have anything near and acceptable attitude. We had a gift certificate and used all but about 7 dollars of it. We were told we could not use Certificate for the tip. After dinner hostess with same rude attitude writes us a new certificate for the 7 dollars. We were told no pizza at dinner.

I won't be back

Avoid at all costs, there are much better options – The atmosphere is very bad, too loud - the tables are very close together. The tablecloths were flannel and vinyl. No music.

The service was appalling. - we were not asked if we wanted more water, bread, or how our appetizer was. Our server did not introduce herself. They sat us near the kitchen (which was fine) but out of all the waitresses working only one continually bumped the back of my chair each time she came out (her name is Jen). When i asked if that was necessary i was told it was and she proceeded to bump it harder. So we asked to be moved and we were moved but we weren't given the first available table and they expected us to move all our drinks and cutlery.

The menu is very deceptive - in that it bills a la carte items as an Entree....My Entree was Chicken Marsala for 13.95 - This consisted of 1 chicken breast cut in 3 piece and pounded paper thin. An extra to this was a piece of chicken bone i discovered when i found something go crunch.

In my mind an Entree consists of perhaps a meat/carb/veg. These things all must be ordered seperately, unless you order chicken/veal parm. (This is not spelled out on the menu). The prices on the web are not the prices in house.

We ordered Chicken parm, it tasted deep fried.

One item that was surprisingly good was Rigatoni with lump crab. The same people who were so cheap with the chicken were expansive with the crab.

The sauces were good but a little oily.

When we asked for our pasta al dente we were told that it couldn't be done as all the pasta is cooked ahead of time.

Doesn't all that make you want to rush there?

I have a feeling the new Ristorante opening up the road will take a lot of their business.

If not may i recommend instead of this nightmare:

Macaroni Grill Montgomeryville or Willow Grove- A chain but - a quality chain.

Boccelli's in Lower Gwynedd

La Vita E Bella Ristorante, Maple Glen

Ristorante Castello, North Wales

A positive, unique, dining experience! – Cafe Lombardi's is one of a kind, outside of inner-city Philadelphia. Truly an ethnic Italian experience! Menu has low-cost selections, all the way up to the most authentic creations I have ever tasted! Also, bring in your own wine. They'll gladly open your bottle.

My All Time Favorite Italian Restaurant! – My husband and I discovered this place a few years ago. This is a family owned and run cute little BYOB Italian restaurant. We loved the food so much we went several times a week. Currently, we are living out of state but will be back shortly. The first place we are going to eat at is Cafe Lombardi's! I really miss the food. My favorite is the Rigatoni Primavera. The cream sauce is phenomenal. My husband loves the Seafood Pescatori. The atmosphere is quaint and the staff are the best! Highly recommended.
