I had never heard of this place, and my neighbors brought my partner and I to celebrate our Domestic Partnership. That being said, there was a very positive, care free air about the evening. The food was fine. I had a delicious Salmon & Veggie dish, the waiter was kind and funny, the views are spectacular, and it was a lovely night. I'm not sure why everyone is giving the place so much hate, it's not bad. In fact, it's great. It's not The Slanted Door, and if that's what you want, go there, if you want a nicely prepared American meal, with a fantastic view, in a old school party atmosphere, this is the place.
Sinbad's a wonderful tucked in place very romantic wonderful view awesome service and good eats who cares if the place is a lil out of date I loved the oldies music and the general old ambience people keeping it simple is the best just cause your in s.f dosn't mean you need to eat a at a fancy new restauranc some times the older things should be appreciated and now I found my new spot with a great view and awesome bar too
Not bad, good family memories..... I loved the wait staff.. Food was ok! Prompt service..
If you're looking for a waterfront restaurant with amazing views of the Bay Bridge and east bay, with friendly service, strong drinks and ok food, this is the place.
Man I love this place..love love love.. I don't understand why it gets such a bad rap. The food is fantastic and ask for Michael he is literally the best waiter I have ever had..ever! I would come back just for Michael. Get the blackened Pacific snapper..it is so good.
A great view of the west side of the Bay Bridge, potent martini s and pretty good food. Our server was fun and experienced. Decor a bit dated, but not too bad. Good SF dinner with typical SF prices.
This was the best food I had in SF while I was here. I know there are great places in the city but the few places I tried out that had great reviews, weren't that great.
They did the fried prawns pefectly. The house red was really good, earthy and slightly bold. I appreciated the view. It does seem run down and out dated. Service was excellent. I had a steak, cooked medium and they did it right! Seared with a great center to boot and no additives needed.
The candelight as it got dark was a nice touch! This was our last meal before we left to head home and it capped off our vacation beautifully.
Went here with my family to Celebrate Mother's day on 7pm this past Saturday night. This is the best spot in SF to see the Bay Bridge and the new lights. The host sat the 6 of us right by the window and we got to see the best views of the Bay. They could update some of the things inside, but it adds to the charm that is Sinbad's. Our waitress was outstanding, even going as far to let us know that there is a huge party about to order, allowing us a good heads up that we should order in order to not be bothered by any wait. And even after we ordered, our food came out very quickly. Their seafood is extremely fresh and delicious. I recommend the bouillabaise. This restaurant is great for events and I am very happy with my choice.
I chose this restaurant for a late business lunch with contacts from Europe who had very limited time in SF. It was a sunny day, and with a window table we watched the ferries coming and going and the sailboats practicing for the Americas Cup. Oh...the food was good, too -- a nice mix of traditional SF cuisine and some modern touches. The blackened salmon was excellent.
The place is bit worn out but the view of the bay and lighted bridge is spectacular. My steak was tender, juicy and cooked perfect. My date said her clam chowder soup was delicious but bit salty. Overall, it was a nice and romantic dinner.
