I don't know where to begin. I went to Salon Beyond for a touchup, in less then a week I thought I noticed a little gray at the root, I scheduled to have my hair blown dry the following week with a different stylist because the stylist who did the color was off that day. The stylist who blew my hair dry, also trimmed it a little which looked good. She asked me when was the last time I had a touchup, I said, "last week", she seemed surprised & mentioned that maybe whatever is used for gray coverage wasn't used, I'm not a hairdresser so I didn't know what she meant. I decided to make an appointment the following week for a touchup with the new stylist. I paid $75 for the touch up that the roots showed in a week. Here is where everything falls apart. I called the salon & spoke to Dawn the receptionist & explained that the stylist noticed my roots were showing & asked when I had a touchup last, so I had a new appointment to come back Saturday which was the following week. I asked if there was a discount I could receive since I need a touchup so soon. Dawn said she would get back to me. Two days passed & Dawn never called me back, so I called again. Dawn kept saying, she wished I would have called right away, I told her I don't like to complain & it was the stylist that noticed the regrowth. All dawn does is talk over you while you're trying to explain something. She then said to me "what do you want"? Well, I am the customer & it is up to the business to know what to do after someone paying $75. When she said why didn't I come back that week I said I can't afford to pay $75 a week for hair color, so I would wait the 3 1/2 - 4 weeks & just try to camouflage. I was getting no where with Dawn & unfortunately the owner has no idea how Dawn talks to customers. I was in sales for 31 years & I know the proper way to talk & deal with customers. Because Dawn would over talk me I said to her, "you're not listening" only she wanted to talk, she said to me, "stop yelling at me", which I was not yelling, I don't do that. I told her that I am going to cancel my appointment for the touchup for this Saturday & just come back when I need a haircut, she then said, I'm on the other line making an appointment & hung up on me.
I shouldn't say I was surprised after having to deal with a very unprofessional receptionist. It's surprising Salon Beyond hasn't lost customers because of Dawn's lack of customer service. The front desk is a reflection of how a business is run.
It is a shame that they lost me as a customer & I did like the stylist I had an appointment with. Money lost for the owner due to a very rude receptionist is unfortunate.
Just awful – Absolutely terrible. Thir customer service is awful.I worked in the service inudstry for over 10 years. I understand that sometimes you have bad days, sometimes customers are rude...but I must say, their service was more than sub-par. They were on their cell phones. They didn't appear to care about their customers. I don't know why anyone would go their. I now go to Salon Fushion which is less than a mile away. I love it there. A million times better.
soooo relaxing – My friend and i researched where to go for a "day at the spa" and we found salon beyond on citysearch. the reviews were really helpful! So, we loved every minute of it! The facial from Lindsay was my favorite, and the massage from diane was my friends favorite. we had our hair nails and makeup done which was so fun! we will definietly be back!
Great spa services! – My daughter and I came to Salon beyond for massages and facials. Both were excellent! come early for your appointment as parking was a little difficult on a busy saturday.
perfect gift! – My boyfriend gave me a gc for my birthday to salon beyond. i had the whole day package which included massage facial nails hair makeup and even lunch. Everything was amazing. diane was awesome at the massage . i never had a facial before but i must say lyndsey was amazing and probably my favorite service of the day. she also did a makeover on me and she taught me a few tips i never knew! my blowout from karen was also very very very nice! nails were great too! i will 100% be back!
Best Facial ever! – I went to salon beyond and used a gift certificate that was given to me. I had a facial with Lindsey, and I must say it was one of the best facials i had ever had. It was so relaxing, and my skin actually looked better afterwards. I will definietly be back!
Very relaxing – I have recieved a facial, massage, pedicure, haircut and scalp massage. The massage and facial was very relaxing. My hair turned out very nice and I would go back. The Manicure and Pedicure were also relaxing to with music from 95.7.
User review by mbradby – I thought everyone did a nice job. I had a Facial which was very relaxing (even though the room was cold) a massage which was nice, foot reflexology which was wonderful, a manicure and shampoo, cut and style. I didn't think that the services were overpriced compared to some places. The robes were heavy and warm the slipers were actually padded sandals. I had a nice time and would go there again.
No, no, no! – These services are WAY overpriced! The facial is a joke-they hardly do a thing to your skin besides slap some lotions on it. The reflexology, massage & scalp treatment were all bad (Deborah) & the room was freezing. I had a manicure and pedicure with pariffin. The pariffin is in a back room where you stand to do it. Galina did my mani and pedi and did a very nice job. Next I went to Christine (same girl who did my facial) for make-up w/lesson. She did a horrible job; someone should give her a lesson. I looked like I was ready for halloween. Santiago did my hair and I was pleased with the time he took & it turned out very nice. However, I won't ever be back to this salon for a day of relaxation.
