Staff and owner needs improvement – The food id decent , but the staff is un friendly they never smile, maybe it's a cultural thing but your in America if you want to keep your good customers you need to be nicer.
awsome Chinese food – The place looks very clean to me, a least it looks cleaner than most Chinese restaurants. The food come out prefect time and it is very good. I had a Pat Thai Shrimp and guess what , it taste better than any Thai restaurant that I have been to. My friend ordered Jumbo shrimp and scallops with Szechuan sauce, nice and spicy. Those scallops are in very nice size and fresh, unlike other places use cheap stuff. If you like Chinese or Thai , give it a try.
Good: it has Chinese and Thai fusion, seafood always fresh. Full list of drink menu.CLEAN!
Con: no BYOB. But it is ok, they have bartenders that can make you any drink.
Goood Food! – My Gilrlfriend and I enjoy going here all the time. This place is always nice and the staff is friendly, never had an issue or problem.
Easily the Worst – Chinese food I have ever had. I took out pineapple chicken. It was grisly thigh meat, totally disgusting. I couldn't swallow it. Ugh.
Americanized Chinese Food – WOK is consistently good. If you like standard Chinese food (eggrolls, crab rangoon, pepper steak, etc.) you will find it on the menu. Each dish I've ordered is always very good. And they bring it out in record timing! The decor and ambiance of WOK come accross a bit more upscale than most of the Chinese restaurants you'd visit in China town. I find the wait staff to be friendly, helpful and they make an effort to remember repeat customers. WOK will never be on the same level as say, Susanna Foo. But take it for what it is, Americanized Chinese food.
Good place to get chinese food as long as you don't mind the taste – The location is good but the food was not. The shrimp and lobster sauce could best be described as "gooey shrimp water." It really had almost no taste to it. The sesame chicken was average at best. If I had paid very little for the food then I would understand why it would be of such poor quality. At least they were polite.
Bad Service – Just called them to order delivery, the item was $9.89 including tax. They refused to deliver because it was under $10. Why bother when the city is full of other great chinese restaurants?
Great place for a relaxing meal in Center City – This is our favorite Chinese place in Philly. We go both for take out and sit-down. It is a convenient location for a lunch or dinner break if you are doing errands or shopping in Center City and I would describe the atmosphere as very relaxing. The selections are pretty much your standard Chinese fare, nothing fancy, but I think they are all very well done. We like the "special wonton soup for 2." Love the scallion pancakes and lomein. Not a huge fan of the few seafood items I've tried. I had a "diet chicken" entree a few times that was surprisingly good. Unlike the other reviewer, my husband loves the beef and broccoli. Portions are generous. Prices are reasonable, particularly given its location. I've always found the service to be very good.
Editorial Review – Fancy Chinese dining prepares daring dishes with spicy ingredients, as well as amped chefs ready to cook at your table.
Great hibachi! – We found this restaurant by accident when we were walking around hungry and wet from the rain storm. It was a really stormy night and we ended up being the only ones in the entire restaurant so we of course were set immediately. We did not go to the Chinese food part but instead upstairs to the hibachi grill. It was a very tasty and FUN dining experience. I watched my delicious NY strip steak be cooked to perfection right in front of me by a very friendly and talented chef. He entertained us with numerous "hibachi chef tricks", and even flipped food into our mouths! I was pleasantly full at the end of our meal and had no room for dessert which was okay because they didn't have a real exciting dessert menu or even very many choices. That is my only complaint! Service - Friendly and attentive
Food- Wonderful steak, very flavorful fried rice and veggies seasoned and cooked to perfection...maybe a little pricey for some...22.95 for my strip steak but it was a lot of food and worth every cent
Dessert Menu- Two thumbs down
Drinks - To pricey to try $18 for a Sake martini
Atmosphere - so so
Overall - A wonderful dining experience!
