History Fans, Come on in!!! – I was told the exibit took only an hour to go through, and so I stopped by before heading back to the airport---- I had to RUSH to catch my plane because there was so much good information here! Great for older kids and school groups, as well as adults and any fans of politics or American history. MUCH better than the Franklin (in my opinion) and even better than the Immigration Museum in Boston (which I also liked.)
Bone up on the legal backbone that gives most Americans their freedoms. – In Short
Years in the making, the opening of the National Constitution Center in summer 2003 coincided with the conclusion of one of the most action-packed seasons in recent Supreme Court history during which, among other things, basic freedoms were recognized to exist for many gays and lesbians (as long as they hadn't been detained as enemy combatants, that is). If you think you can interpret the Constitution better, there's no better place to challenge your ideas: Multimedia exhibits, films and oral history lessons explain the origin of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and later amendments. Special exhibits illuminate historical nooks and crannies.
