Best Kept Secret in Philly! – I believe I have been to almost every place in the city and suburbs of Philadelphia that offers a chicken parm dinner and let's be honest...it gets quite boring. Fear not my friends here is a new place to get that same comfort food that we crave so often with a unique and authentic taste.

This "cafe" has a simple charm that makes you feel as if you are eating a home cooked meal from grandmother on a Sunday afternoon. A chef who can make your meal seem like it is prepared for you and only you. All in all a very special and delicious cafe that I would recommend to anyone.

The items I have tried are the Chicken parm, mussels, potato soup with sweet italian sausage (phenomenal), beets with gorgonzola, bruscetta with pesto and tomato and mozzarella salad. Don't forget the spinach gnocci's and the bananas forester for dessert!! Enjoy!

A Taste of Italy – I have been to the Fitzwater several times now and every time we have gone there the food has been excellent. Try the chicken parm or the chicken milenese. I couldn't get enough of the red sauce the mussels were cooked in....and the spinach gnocci's were delicious. The beets with gorgnzola were a complete surprise - We always share a few desserts. The service is top notch. Oh, and the potatoe soup with sweet italian sausage could be a meal. Free parking in the city is just the icing on the cake.

Best BYOB – I couldnt have been happier with my experience at the Fitzwater cafe. It is one of the best byobs in the city. The menu is great. It is true authentic italian cuisine that is also creative and innovative. The food is unbelievable and I love the specials. Service was great too. This will be a frequent stop for me because it is great atmosphere with food that is to die for. There is no menu like it in Philly. I love it.

great italian cuisine – My friends called for girls night out .I was told we were trying a little cafe in philly . I was excited, a night in the city. When we pulled up to find free valet I was tickled pink. When we entered I was surprised they chose a resturant serving Italian. See we are all Italian and I always think no one can cook like my family.....To my surprise the food was GREAT I couldn't stop eating. My friends were shocked I wasn't complaining instead I was mmmmmmmm all throughout dinner, my dinner thier dinner and if I could of tried everyone food in the resturant I probably would . Ok people if your looking for FREE PARKING, GREAT FOOD AND PERFECT AMBIANCE I suggest fitzwater cafe . I'll be there again next week with some of my other friends. It definetly is a place to share with friends :)

What a gem! – Wow!

We were looking for an intimate little BYOB to make our own and did we hit the jackpot...

From the moment we walked into the cafe, we knew we we were going to enjoy our experience... in fact, we enjoyed it BEFORE we walked in; with the FREE valet parking. NICE.

The pastry case just inside the door was sparkling with beautiful little goodies and luscious looking cakes; the beautiful old-fashioned bar area, tiled floor and low lights were instantly welcoming, and the aroma of something delicious was all we needed to get the juices flowing.

We loved the new menu with it's Italian favorites but with an updated twist, we tried many appetizers and even had a special appetizer of flatbread with pancetta, arugula and a fried egg. delicious.

Our entrees came out as soon as we finished the appetizers; talk about great, friendly service. spot on.

We ended up bringing some dinner home because we needed to save that room for dessert... and that was worth it, you want to take advantage of all the fresh, well-prepared food and sweet treats you can fit in while you are there.

We enjoyed it so much we are going again this weekend, such a refreshing change from the 'norm".

My new "go to" spot for dinner, thanks to the new chef!!! – Fantastic food, friendly service, cozy & comfortable atmosphere, affordable prices and free valet parking!!! Could you ask for anything more?!? This BYOB is open for dinner Wed - Sat. and is the perfect spot for any gathering. If you like "home cooking" or "out of the ordinary" Itailian food you have to give this place a try! Since the new chef, Stacey, started a month ago I've been there 3 times!!

Best romantic spot for dinner with an amazing new Chef – We recently were referred by a friend to go to the Fitzwater Cafe for dinner, we didn't even know they were open for dinner. We were truly amazed by the food...hand down the best Italian in the city. It's a byob and open for dinner wednesday-Saturday. They have a new Chef who put a modern twist on Italian Food. We had the Tuscan White Bean soup, Grilled Calamari and the Gnocch as starters...they were amazing. The food is definitely affordable for the quality. I strongly suggest you make a reservation before this best kept secret gets out!

Best bakery! – I recently ordered a cake from the Fitzwate Cafe and was amazed at how great the bakery chef is! For the price, you get a specialty cake that would cost much more at other South Philly bakeries. I certantly will be going there again when I have special occasions in the future!

Great little spot for food! – This place is great. It had delectable salmon and salads for a cheap price. Go Go Go!

I had a meeting there and it was just wonderful!
