Excellent – Service was good. Food great. Ambience...terrific!
I currently visited Sullivan?s for the first time and I was very impressed. Sullivan?s was just what I was looking for. They offer great food, and a wonderful wine selection. Must importantly the service was excellent. Our server was professional but still very personable. After our incredible dinner we decided to have a nightcap in the bar. It was happening. The place was packed. They had a jazz band and everyone was having a good. It was a great vibe, something that I think lacks in most places these days. I will diffently be back.
Perfect Anniversary – My boyfriend planned the perfect anniversary for us. He told me to dress up to go wine and dine. He took me to Sullivan's where the service was personable, the food excellent, and the crowd alive. It was a perfect night
Good Service, Great Food, Nice Place – I went to Sullivan?s with a group of 6 and it was one of the best meals that I have eaten out. I ate the filet and lobster tail and it was cooked perfect. The filet was juicy and tender and the lobster was so good dipped in the drawn butter. I also had their salad with the blue cheese dressing. Their dressing had big blue cheese chunks Mmmm good. I would highly recommend this for any special occasion or for just a good meal.
Frank Sinatra would have loved this spiffy steakhouse chain. – In Short
Stepping into the art deco library and polished wood bar--where gussied up wait-listers sip whiskies, smoke cigars and sway to jazzy piano tunes--you'll swear you've landed in a bygone era, when dining out meant more than a meal. The traditional menu adds welcome intrigue with updated retro dishes. Tender Filet Mignon and well-marbled Kansas Strip are expertly grilled, as is a gigantic smoked pork chop that falls short on flavor.
Great atmosphere ..very lively..the place to be..great service – I frequent many restaurants with clients on a regular basis, both five star (more-so) and
lack there of. I must admit that when I am in the city, Capitol Grille is the place to be, but
when I am in the King of Prussia are..I choose Sullivan's.
Let me start by taking you through the bar, the beautiful bar..which plays live jazzevery night, Gale and Rob have their regulars that have been coming back for 6+years.
I don't want to sugar coat it..this restaurant does have it's occasional mishaps as does any other (timeliness..being the main one). I have both dined during the week and on Saturday nights here. I do highly recommend for the first time guest that you dine during the week to get the full experience and really enjoy it. Saturdays seem a little too busy to relax..unless you where going for a special occasion.
The food is very good..I recommend the Cowboy Ribeye (better than prime rib), along with their famous horseradish mashed potatoes and creamed spinach..followed by a chocolate souffle of course.
The staff is always very lively and accomodating..but there is one server that stands out a bit more..and that is, Nicole K. I have been dining at Sullivan's since day one and I must say that she always goes above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience whether I am entertaining clients or just "dining". I notice that there is alot of turnover with staff and it is very welcoming to go to Sullivan's and have a server anticipate your needs without you having to ask or chase them down. Nicole is very attentive without being overbearing and will gaurantee that you leave enjoying the experience.
In conclusion, when leaving Sullivan's..Rich (manager) is usually manning the door with his charismatic charm either having the valet get the car or often setting me up with lemoncello.
Remember..all restaurants are not 100 percent all the time
Was Not What I Expected. – My father took me to the Sullivan's in KoP for a birthday lunch. I had heard so many good things, so my hopes were high. I was completely disappointed. The service was ok it was the servers first lunch so I understand . It was not busy at all, which confuses me as to why it took an hour just to get our lunches. Which we had to eat very quickly bc my lunch hour was already over. The appetizer was wonderful.. My fathers fish was undercooked, and my steak was over-cooked, med. well, when I requisted medium rare. I would return bc the restuant is absolutely beautiful, and in hopes that it is better the second time around. BUT, as of that visit, I prefer going to the Lonestar up the street, which owns Sullivans. They have the same steaks as Sullivans, but for a better price.
Great Steak....ok everything else – We had a reservation for 7pm....they didn't seat us until 7:30.
The menu seemed kind of limited and the appetizers were blah.
The main course came a bit late but the steak (a porterhouse) was fantastic...one of the best I've had.
It's not the most romantic place around, it's very bright, very open, and very noisy.
Abominal Dining Experience – I went to Sullivan's for a holiday dinner. We were seated hours after our reservation. I ordered surf and turf and the lobster came our partially frozen. Many menu items were not available. Our service was beyond bad. I wrote the manager a week later, after giving time to objectively review the situation. I received no reply.
