Diana is amazing!!! – First off, I just want to say that I really love my hair cut that I got at this salon! I find everyone that works there to be really sweet and friendly. But also stylish! I went in and told them what I was looking for. I even brought a picture in. This lovely lady by the name of Diana said she could totally hook it up and make it happen. She cut it and even suggested ways to make it work better for my hair type and shape of face. I have to say it is hard to trust someone with your hair for the first time and I went from longer hair to a much shorter style. But she was so great and people everywhere I go keep telling how great I look and I believe them. Because of Diana I have new found confidence, thanks girl!!!!! Try this place out you will not be disappointed!
Just Go Already – Patrick has been cutting my hair for 11 years, and not only mine, but my sisters and both my parents and even my grandmother's hair. Everyone I have recommended him to has given me great feedback. His color looks natural, and my hair actually usually looks better a few days AFTER I get it cut, because how it looks when i leave the salon only matters for a few hours. He really usually just makes my hair looks its best. I have insane curly hair, so this is no easy task. My sisters with straight hair come out with equally awesome cuts. He really is the best, and the vibe is really nice at the salon. Patrick is also one of the coolest people I've ever met, the music and his conversation is a fun way to pass some time. I've honestly gone with my grandmother when she got her hair trimmed, and she fell asleep while I talked to Patrick. But she falls asleep a lot. And even when I've needed a cut and Patrick was away (he always manages to squeeze me in when he's here), the other stylists have always done a great job. Everyone from the Pac Heights homemakers to the hipsters to my bicycle loving dad seems to leave pleased with their 'do. And I honestly wonder why Patrick doesn't move to LA and start charging like $800 for a cut and color. But don't tell him, I would start having to drive there just to get my hair cut.
Lacy + Patrick Richards Salon = AMAZING HAIR – I'm new to the city, having relocated from Los Angeles where I'd had the same trusted hairstylist for years... I was really worried that finding her replacement would be time consuming and potentially dangerous. It's a good thing I went with my instincts and trusted citysearch to point me in the right direction, after researching some different salons in my area I decided to give Patrick Richards a try - it definitely had the most positive reviews out of them all. I instantly loved the energy of the place and my stylist, Lacy, made me feel comfortable and taken care of the moment I sat down in her chair. We were chatting like old friends right away, she understood exactly what it was I was looking for in my new do and had some really great ideas of her own - I couldn't be happier with my new haircut! I walked away with not only a hip, fresh look, but a new friend as well. LACY GETS MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!!!!!
Best Natural-Looking Highlights and Versatile Cuts in all of SF – I'm a girl on a budget these days, so although I LOVE funky hair, I've had to go more natural to save some visits to the salon. I went to Patrick Richards on the recommendation of a friend and although it's a bit out of the way for this North Beacher, it's TOTALLY worth it.
The salon is a friendly little uber-hip neighborhood joint with the best stylists. I went to Lacy who paired my natural color with some beautiful blond highlights. So it wasn't too ordinary for my taste, she gave me a fabulous cut to boot! I can style it conservatively for work, but she gave it some great texture so that I can get a little funky on weekends.
You know you have a good cut and color when your hair grows out well. It's going on a month since my visit and my hair still looks fabulous! She definitely won me over as a loyal follower!
Love Lacy T... Love 'er... – I showed up at my appointment time and she got me under the scissors instantly. She is kind, conversational and most importantly a master of hairstyling. I actually picked her through citysearch (because the website is so often on the mark) and I can't believe how much I lucked out with this one. She is my regular stylist for good. I walked out of that place feeling happy, happenin' and hot!!!
Lacy Rocks!!! – Ok, so I'm totally picky when it comes to my hair. Lacy at Patrick Richards is my new S.F. favorite! She totally took her time and listened to me, and gave me the best haircut I've EVER HAD!!! That says alot, let me tell you. My haircolor is beautiful, and I looked so glamourous when I left. She totally took her time and styled out my crazy textured hair....I cant wait to go back. YAY!
Hip neighborhood hair salon in the heart of Pac Heights offers stylish cuts in a laid-back atmosphere. – In Short
"Shampoo" movie stills, tiki curiousities and a water-filled vase with sunken eight balls set a playful mood at this basement-floor beauty salon. Much larger than it appears from the outside, the 12-chair room extends the length of the building, looking out onto a small backyard. Owner Patrick Richards caters to an unpretentious clientele with cutting-edge cuts and hair color. Signature treatments include Japanese thermal reconditioning, scalp treatments and balyage, a highlighting technique.
Beautiful color and cool hair cuts! – I gave Diana G. a photo of a hairstyle that I really wanted her to replicate weeks before the cut and she remembered it perfectly. I finally made an appointment with her and Aaron a colorist she recommended to me. I started with Aaron and he was so polite and precise with his color mix. His coloring not only matched the color I like but his mixture left my normally dull hair lustrous and shiny.
Then after that I was onto the new haircut with Diana G. I walked out of the salon ready for the evening with beautiful color and a cut. My true test of a good haircut is not so much what I look like after all their clever blowdry techniques but of what it looks like when my novice hands attack my hair. I did my own hair in less time than usual and it looked as good as in the salon as it is such a superior cut and ultimately easier to deal with. I am so thankful for such a great cut after years of good cuts that only look great when the actual stylist does it but finally a cut that I can manage. Diana G. and Aaron will transform your hair and really listen to your needs as well as use some of their own artistic abilities, which added their signature to the cut.
I advise those to get in and see Diana G. and Aaron while you can get in on their roster as soon there might not be any more appointments left with these talented souls.
Like getting your hair cut in an art gallery! – When my favorite stylist, Diana, moved to Patrick Richards, I made the trek across town and it was totally worth it! Not only do I continue to get the best haircuts I've ever had, but now I am surrounded by cool art and decor while the magic happens! A great hair stylist at a great salon!
Diana at Patrick Richards rocks the spot! – Diana has been my stylist for the last year, and now that she's at Patrick Richards, the experience is even better. The Laurel Heights neighborhood is great, parking isn't difficult, and the atmosphere in the salon is cool and relaxed (with extra points for the funky green bathroom). Diana's a magician with the scissors. I thought I knew what a good cut was until she came along. Now I'll never go back to anyone else.
