Excellent cross-cultural Asian food – I stopped by the 4 Seasons at the Job Lot plaza on Reservoir Ave in Providence for lunch and ordered the Szechuan Noodle special. I’ve been going to this restaurant for years now and have never been disappointed with eat-in or take out. It’s one of my favorite Asian places. It looks great since remodeling after the fire and I missed it while they were closed.

I was treated to a spicy dish that looked like traditional spaghetti with an Asian sauce on top. The sauce included small shrimp, ground pork, mushrooms, and sprouts. Everything in the sauce except for the shrimp and sprouts was ground, cut or diced into very small pieces and placed atop Asian noodles and garnished with green onions. Interestingly enough, the mixture was spicy but the soy based sauce had a nice, slightly sweet flavor. The dish didn’t skimp on the shrimp. There was shrimp in almost every bite.

Service is sometimes slow and much to my disappointment waiters seldom return after serving for any reason except to bring a check. Obviously, this makes it necessary to catch an eye if you decide to order a drink or need something. Waiters are always professional and polite however.

This was a wonderfully tasty lunch for under $10.

I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and frequently introduce it to people who have never been. You can order anything that interests you without wondering how good it will be. It’s wonderful, cross cultural food for this type of venue. You really should try it… You too will be a believer!

Good food at a good price – 4 Seasons is a place where I can actually eat Cambodian food. My girlfriend is Cambodian so we go here quite a bit. The prices can't be beat for the amount of food that you get. Service might be a little slow at times, but the food more than makes up for it. This is one of the few places where I can ACTUALLY get good Niem Chow. The menu has plenty to pick from and one day I will finally have eaten everything on it. (but that's a long, long ways away) Don't expect the best mixed drinks from here, go for the food.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena – Pan-Asian cuisine is the specialty at the kid-friendly restaurant that offers a large menu selection, full bar and heart-healthy dishes.
