Reviews for Pet Vac Animal Hospital

Dr. Adcock and his staff have been taking care of all my pups and kitties since 1995. He is one of the best animal surgeons in town, and this has been verified by friends of mine who are vet techs, other vets, etc. His facility is 20 minutes from my house, but I make the trek. His staff has always been very kind to my furry friends. AND very informative. This facility has a lot of calls, so I can honestly say (after almost 19 years of my biz), just be patient. They will answer. Good people there, Hell Yes. That is the rub.

Our lab puppy needed surgery and everyone else was unwilling to work with us on the price. He had to have surgery and we were unsure what the outcome would be but we couldn't afford the unrealistic rates that Charleston was requiring. Dr. Adcock was recommended to us by a family member and we were very impressed. He went over and beyond the call to help our puppy "CatFish". The staff there were very friendly and willing to help out in anyway they could. We were very impressed and satisfied. We know where we'll go if we have anymore animal emergencies in our future! Thanks Pet Vac!!!!

Thank you holly w.

I also had a horrible exp with him as well.

He dragged my dog across the floor with only his leash wrapped around his neck

when i told him he was being to ruff he told me to shut up!

I walk out,how dare him talk to people with disrespect and abuse their pets!

The staff is incredibly rude, as is the Vet. Dr. Adcock was very, very rough with my 14 year old Pom, grabbing her around the neck to examine her. Even worse, when i moved out of state and she needed her heart med refilled, they refused to release the prescription to a pet pharmacy and insisited i only order from them. The problem is, when i looked at their prices, they only sell whole bottles of the meds, which is very expensive and the vet tech on the phone told me outright that he was far too busy to walk me through the website. Their cheap prices are the only reason anyone goes to them.

Great people, Great facility, Great Prices! – The prices are outstanding! The staff, including the doctor is fantastic, the facility is always in top notch condition. Have referred all my friends there and they love it.

Affordable but dirty – Took my dog to Dr. Adcock for a wound on his ear.... he barely looked at it and gave me fly repellent. The dogs ear is infected and needs antibiotics. Asked the doctor about flea treatment and was basically told if it doesn't come from his office it is no good. The problem is everything he sells only works for a week and then the fleas are back. My dogs are over 120lbs a piece and they need something for large dogs. The only thing that we have found that works is K9 Advantix which they don't sell. He is nice as long as you don't question him... then he treats you like you don't know how to take care of your pet. Not to mention the place is filthy.

So affordable! Great staff! – My previous vet referred me to Pet Vac when my puppy broke his leg 4.5 months ago. That was a BIG mistake on their part, because now I'm never going back to my old vet (sorry guys, you've gotten way "too big for your britches!"). I'm in the process of switching all of my pets (6 dogs and a cat) to PetVac to make Dr. Adcock their primary vet.

I can't get over how affordable they are (we're talking they charge less than 50% of my old vet, which was the most affordable vet I could find when I started going there 5 years ago!). Throw in a great vet, a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and Saturday office hours to boot? This one's a keeper, folks!

For example, I just called to check the price of an ELISA Heartworm test at Pet Vac. Guess what they charge. Guess! $18.50!!! They charge $20 at the Richland County spay/neuter clinic and $40.00 at my old vet for the SAME TEST! Simply fabulous. Pet Vac also charges $60 for a dog spay when RCS/N Clinic charges $70 (after you wait a month for your stinkin' appointment!).
