Ehhh... – This place is around the corner from my house. Although it's a great spot for a sunny day, I can't say the food is that great. We've been here several times now, and it was just ok...standard food.
The BEST hot chocolate! – If you want to have the best hot chocolate you have ever had, definitely go here. It can be a bit of a wait on the weekends, but I have found it is always worth it. The food is consistantly good and the staff is friendly. The owner is there quite often and he is always welcoming and social. They also have great french toast on sourdough. Yum!
I am still dreaming of the flapjacks – We wandered into Judy's on our last day in town and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and profoundly great food that was served to us in minimal time. The place was packed, and it can get a little tight, especially upstairs, but once the coffee arrived at the table, i'd forgotten all about that. We ordered from both the breakfast and lunch menu...the grilled veggie sandwhich was hearty and satisfying, thick chunks of grilled squash, peppers, mushrooms and eggplant marinated and served on texas toast with a spicy chipotle sauce and smothered in jack cheese. yummmmm! we also ordered the pacific scramble which was grilled and marinated shrimp, eggs, cream cheese and veggies. dont leave without downing a couple of mimosas and walking down chestnut street!! you won't regret it!
Great Food – This is the best breakfast/brunch place in town if you dont mind spending some money. On a nice sunny day, nothing better than eating on the outside patio in the Marina. Huge portions, very flavorful food, fresh whole ingredients, no corners cut, and an exceptional pumpkin loaf!!! The omeletes, french toast, and cheese, meet, mushroom country potatoes are expectional. When they say cheese, they mean fresh, flavorful gourmet cheese. When they say avacodes, they mean an entire fresh avocado. When they say garlic, they mean plenty of freshly chopped roasted garlic. If you have 3 people, I recommend sharing two plates only. The one negative is that it is old fashioned (50's style).
No credit cards? – Expensive, but the food was nice. Cash only, which is a big pain. Rude staff and therefore I am surprised it always has a crowd.
Nice Omelette – The breakfast menu is nice and tasty. The downside is service is slow and it is extremely expensive for category. I had a good omelette and would likely go back if it were not $10+.
Recommend to your enemies – Despite their quaint looking sign, this restaurant is your basic Marina ripoff with extremely mediocre food and very cramped seating. If my boyfriend moved his chair back too far, he would have fallen down the stairs. Things that normally come with your breakfast like home fries, meat, or fruit are all high priced side orders here. However the dust on the plant at your table is complimentary.
Terrible – If you are looking for a good brunch spot, this isn't it. Food was bland. Tasteless. Expensive.
Consistently good food – Judy's is my favorite Sunday breakfast hang out. You can sit outside, people watch, drink a delicious Mimosa and have a delicious breakfast. The owner is always friendly and helpful. Most importantly the menu is well rounded with healthy choices and items to splurge on(the cream cheese french toast!)
