Great Salon....Best stylist! – I recently started going to Devon Steinhilper at Ashley's Alley and could not be more pleased. She does a fantastic job with color and I cut, I always feel 10 years younger when I leave.
I also had the brazilian hair straightener done and WOW is all I can say. I feel like a new woman!
Devon is not only a tremendous sylist but is so sweet and friendly.
I look forward to getting my hair done!
There really couldn't be anyone better!
Keri Bailes is the BEST!!! – I called Ashley's Alley Salon looking for a new stylist and the owner of the salon referred me to Keri, I was so inpressed with her, she was Amazing and I love my new color and cut... I am so glad that I found her, I always leave feeling great and love the Redken products she has me using... I would highly recommend her!!!!
Glad I called them! – I have been looking for a new hair stylist since I moved to Columbia a few years ago. I want someone that I feel comfortable with and when I leave from getting my hair done, I want to go show my hair off and not mess it up! I think I may have found her! Her name is Cara and she was great! My hair looked great and it still looked great the next morning when I woke up! Would recommend her to anyone!
One of the best!! – I have lived in Columbia for over a year and have had such a hard time finding someone that can cut hair and work around my busy schedule. I found Jill Jones on citysearch. She is wonderful, I went in there looking for a cute short cut and within minutes she was finished. I love my hair and have gotten so many compliments! I would recommend her to anyone with any type of hair! I look forward to sending all my friends to her!
Great Salon – I recently moved to Columbia to go to school at USC and found that so many girls in my sorority went to Keri Johnson at Ashley's Alley Salon. She is absolutely AMAZING!!! I had such a hard time finding the right stylist in Columbia but I have finally found the best one in this town....
Sad Salon and not a Spa at all – I would not call this a typical salon or spa. There is no receptionist or anyone there to assist you when you arrive as all the stylists are independent. I found many (not all) of the stylists dress very unprofessionally, many looked down right sloppy(this is not what I expected after visiting the salons webpage where the stylists all looked lovely) When I arrived no one greeted me at all. I was a new client and had no idea who my stylist was( I knew her name not what she looked like). Finally I asked a lady where I could find my stylist, she pointed me to her booth. I had to wait over 45 MINUTES to get my hair done---as my stylist was running very late. I could not imagine my stylist appreciating it if I were 40 minutes late to my appointment. I am busy like most people these days and did not have an additional 45 minutes to spare for a color and cut. Once I finally got upstairs to my chair the young stylist was rushed as she already had others showing up for appointments. She proceeded to coat my face and collar with hair color. My hair cut was very sloppy. She had a slew of phone calls coming in as I was sitting in her chair and I believe cared more about her wedding plans and scheduling other appointments then finishing the task at hand, my hair. I understand people have off days but for me I will no doubt never ever visit Ashley?s Ally again. This is not a premiere salon in any regard. I know some stylists must be very good as the salon has been around for a long time but the atmosphere and the staff are highly unprofessional. At least at other salons there is a scheduler for the stylists and clients so that you can expect to have your hair cut and colored at your appointed time. I have waited a long time to post this review and have since visited Pia and Steve's---go there--- my cut and color was perfect as was the stylist---he actually cared about what i wanted and took his time with me!
Great service! FanTABulous! – I went to Ashley's Alley on a friends request. I am very skeptical at new places due to my hair being so dark and fine. However, Amanda was fantabulous! I absolutely loved everything she did...cut, color, highlights, even the conversation!
Jill Jones is hands down the best stylist in Columbia – I never in a million years thought I could find someone to deal with my super thick, super frizzy, super curly hair until I found Jill Jones. I?ve been to top stylists even in NYC that cannot compare. I look better then ever seriously, so if you need someone that can really do hair see Jill. You will walk about feeling amazing. She is truly blessed with a great talent!
Jill Jones is a great choice for color and cuts – I went to Jill Jones for my color and haircut because she was highly recommended by several people i know. I must say i am very pleased with the results. I have been in Columbia for 5 years now and until now i have not been able to find anyone who has made me happy.(most would do just the same old thing and not change it up when i asked them.) Prior to seeing Jill i had the worst color job ever...Jill knew exactly what to do..now my color is so shiny and natural, she also recommended what she called a hair coctail, it was a mixture of condition treatments..my hair feels great now.. the cut is very modern (i had a boring bob before). Now that i have found Jill Jones to do my hair i will never let anyone else touch my hair..Thanks Jill :0)
