Not a good choice! – I ordered a baby shower cake from Sams club North Charleston. It was placed 5 days in advance and paid for the same day. The cake was for my sisters shower so it was very special fir me and I wanted it to be perfect for her. It was suppose to be ready by 5:00 on Saturday, I got there at 6:00, I saw a lot of other people standing there. The ladies decorating saw me walk up, but never said a word. I had no idea what was going on? So after standing there over 5 minutes. I just asked one of the ladies to help me, that I was there to pick up my cakes.

Oh she said when was it due to be picked up? I said 5:00

Oh it's not ready we are 5 hours behind time. I was bot happy. She said we can give you a refund, are you kidding me? I need two cakes for a party that was ordered 5 days ago. There were a lot of people there with the same problem as me. No cakes were ready..

After waiting 2 hours I had no choice. They threw that cake together messed up the icing. I thought how can this be happening no telling what it will look like?

I got the cakes, they tasted good.

But if you really want a cake and you need it on a certain

Time frame, they are a gamble. And they have the attitude they could care less! Not once did anyone say i' m sorry or offer anything for my wait time

Most Unprofessional Bakery in Charleston – I ordered a Baby Shower cake at the North Charleston Sams Club several months ago. I actually went to the store 2 weeks prior to the party and completed an order form with one of the bakery employees with all of the specifics, the order was reviewed with me for accuracy and i was happy about my choice and excited to see the cake.

The day i went to pick up the cake, they lost the order and the cake was not ready and was no where to be found. The woman at the bakery kept asking questions about what the cake should look like, what did it say.....etc. A manager was no where to be found and the party was to start in about an hour. No one took responsibility for the "lost cake" and i had to grab a pre-made cake that was not even the right colors to prevent showing up to the party empty handed! Prior to check out, i went to the customer service desk and asked to speak to a manager about the situation, the lady was rude and would not even look at me when she was talking. The manager showed up, after being paged 3 times and asked "What is the problem?"- no introduction, no friendly greeting - just an attitude. I really wanted to just throw the cake on all of them and be done with it. i explained the situation and was only given the option to get the cake in my hands at a discount.

Another baby shower at work in May 2010 required me to order another cake. The Sam's Club cake - although the situation was a disaster, the cake was delicious- was requested by popular demand for this shower as well. I placed the order 2 weeks prior to the party and actually called the day prior to the pary to confirm my order and that the cake would be ready by 10am for pickup. A co-worker went to pick up the cake and was told at 9:50am that there were 5 other cakes ahead of ours and she would have to wait!

Please tell me how you run a "bakery business" this way??????? what is the point of ordering a cake with specifics if they cannot even guarantee to provide you with the service that they are offering?

I would never purchase a cake from the bakery at Sam's Club ever again and i strongly suggest the same to anyone else reading this .........
