Goes the extra mile! – I have been shopping at Riveredge Auto Parts since my father began taking me in the store when I was in my late teens. Now having teenagers myself I have taken them by the store many times to purchase auto parts or rent U-Haul trucks when we needed to move. I feel like part of the family with Farrell Brittain (owner). Unlike the previous reviewer- who obviously didnt know what was wrong with his vehicle and wants to blame everyone but himself, I have always been treated great in this establishment. I guess the previous reviewer looks at this store as a library of auto parts. Have the store owner order what I "think" I need, try it out, and then return it when it doesn't fix the problem. Anyway- I would not hesitate to send my wife or daughter into this store. Obviously Farrell has been doing something right to have been in business, in the same location, since 1979! Thank you for being the neighborhood parts store and always providing a great service!
Nice at first, sold alternator, when I tried to return he threw alternator – I visited store to check a price on an alternator, the guy was very nice. I left the store and then before leaving I decided, I don't care that he charges a bit more, he is so nice I'm going to go back in. I bought it and then when I went to put it in I realized the bearings were out in the pulley under the alternator. I went to return the alternator only to find out there was no return policy. I made a mistake and didn't read his no return sign. He proceeded to throw my alternator about 6 feet into an empty trash can. I had just told him it was the broken alternator, he replied they don't return items and he thought it was the core. I picked the alternator up off the floor in the trash and left after he started yelling. I went back a couple of days later to tell him the alternator seemed defective now after he threw it so far on the ground. He laughed and got really mad and told me he wasn?t giving me my money back but that he would send it back to the company for a new one and he said he wouldn't tell them he threw it. I told him I would tell them that he threw it and asked him where he ordered it. He would not tell me where he ordered it and he told me they wouldn't believe me over him anyway. My point is it doesn?t matter that he has a no return policy, he threw my property and therefore he broke it and owes me my money. Please do not buy from Riveredge Auto Parts, his name was Ferrell Britton I think it was, or at least after I demanded to know his name three times that is what he finally told me. Please DO NOT BUY FROM RIVEREDGE AUTO PARTS. He even told me he didn't sell to my kind and I needed to go to somewhere like advance auto parts.
