not impressed. I would rate the food at Sassafras as average. I ordered the tuna, which is something I commonly order, and it was not very good. I like the ambience of this restaurant, the brick walls on the inside and the outside patio; however, I think the food is just okay. The waiter seemed rushed, making hasty wine glass deliveries and buzzing about as if he was also the chef. The tuna actually tasted like it might be bad and therefore I stopped eating it and began eating off of other friends' plates (even if it was not "bad", it was not good). Maybe I picked too busy of a night to go to this restaurant. I would give it a second try and I had a nice evening, but it certainly was not due to the food. I would say, give it a try, but know you are not going to be served the best meal you have ever eaten.

great place. very underated. The Wellington is A+, the Crab Nacho's is a great starter, good wine list
