All they care about is money! The ladies behind the counter are extremely rude. I went to several appointments and kept getting extra charges. Spoke to the doctor about them and he said they would be cleared but kept getting bills in the mail. Hard to get anyone in the office on the phone. The ladies behind the counter were even making fun of the doctor I was seeing, talk about unprofessional. I would highly discourage!!!
Horrible, horrible practice – I can't even comment about the doctor, because I can't get in to see one. It's like trying to arrange a sit-down with the Godfather.
I am seeing one of the therapists, and he's OK I guess, but my medications aren't working and need to be adjusted, and given that it doesn't look like I'll get to see the Dr. before my prescription runs out, I hope there aren't any tragic side effects.
There has GOT to be a better alternative.

How can a psychiatric professional castigate a BRAND NEW patient for being 6 minutes late, and then continue to reiterate 3 additional times on the importance of being punctual in the first 4 minutes of converstaion? YOU ARE EMPLOYED TO HELP PEOPLE FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!
Between Mario E. Galvarino's miserable abortion of an office interview and his copious renderings of Jesus Christ littering his office I can't think of a worse place on planet earth to receive psychiatric advice.
If this is all you have to offer "upstate psychiatry" I think i can wing it.
I planned on helping your practice while I was there because you have 6 reviews and all are 2 stars or less. I run a reputation management portion of my online marketing business. However, I would not want your practice to infect even one more unfortunate soul. I will bank on any advice or assistance coming from such an impaired "treatment" center has potential to leave a patient more injured than when the first visited.
I truly am sorry that you will continue to operate. Trust that it is my mission to help any person that i can influence to find QUALIFIED help.
QUALIFICATION ONE set up an appointment process that allows for a new patient a window for finding the so called treatment center for the first time and filling entrance paperwork. Your problem is your process, not your patients. (actually your problem could be Mario E. Galvarino I WOULD NOT LET HIM ADMINISTER PSYCHIATRIC HELP ON A FEEDER MOUSE!!), there is no doubt this problem has existed for some time now because the nurses just rolled their eyes (as if to say oh Jesus, happens all the time) when I explained my foul, malicious treatment brief abuse session at upstate psychiatry.

I am quite certain that i will recieve no further contact from upstate psychiatry because the "Church Lady" (self proclaimed 'you know who you are') says that upstate psychiatry does not have an email. OH MY GOD!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?

For the Money...not the patients!! – I am very disappointed in Upstate Phychiatry.I was a patient for several years...until I had to resign from my job and no longer had insurance . I understand it is a business, but I was paying cash... but I was told to go to my family doctor to get my meds. I suffer from anxiety/depression and have for many years. My doctor there told me to "snap out of it"....I lost my Mom and best friend within a year...my doctor said "people die"....In the beginning he was a very good doctor, until I no longer had insurance...and the ladies at the front desk were very unpersonable and rude at times. Thank goodness I found a great doctor and therapist who are treating me and have a little "bedside manner". Would not reccommend!
Put you off as old patient -takes too long to see Dr. – Dr. Stephens was very helpful first visit- but told us to return to GMH as we didn't have insurance (but come back anytime if need arises). Need arose- but the staff considered my son as a new patient and put us off for a month-would not listen- no help or advise, questions, or concern from staff over the phone.- no help-- son died--suicide.
So so doctor, horrible staff!!! – My son started seeing Dr. Tridico after some problems with anxiety/depression. He seems like a decent doctor but the front office staff is rediculous. I have worked in the medical field for 14 years and if anyone in our office acted like these girls act we would be fired on the spot! They are not there at all for the patient. It's quite evident that they are there to put your file up and take money. And speaking of money, the lady at check out continuously asks my son for money. I've called and spoke with her and eventually the office manager regarding this. Our deductible has been met and insurance pays at 100% after that. My son has a credit there and has since 2/11 but they still just kept collecting between $15-$40 everytime he came in. I had to call and leave messages with the office/billing manager 3 or 4 times before I actually ever got to speak to anyone. I kept being told she was out of the office and when I threatened to go to the office and wait on her she conveniently appeared and was able to answer the phone. I'm now considering finding my son another doctor because of this. To me all patients should be treated with respect but the front office staff makes you feel very unwelcome when you're already going through enough mentally and personally.
horrible staff – I started going here about 3 years to Dr. Tridico for OCD symptoms and mild depression. I had never been to see a psychiatrist before and Dr. Tridico really is an excellent doctor. I am not going here anymore because of the ladies that work in the front office. I called several times over the past 2 weeks to see if I could get an appointment fairly quickly because I was having a rough couple of weeks prior to contacting them and my symptoms were not getting any better. I recieved one phone call back from the nurse and of course i was away from my desk at work and i missed the call. When I called her back she never responded to my 3 messages after the first call back. I was also frustrated with the wait times at this office. I would arrive 10 minutes prior to my appointment and and still have to wait there 30 to 45 minutes because they were running behind...no common courtesy letting me know when I signed in that they were running late or anything. My last visit i had an appointment time at 11:45. I waited in the waiting room until around 12:45 and asked the lady when she though it was going to by turn and she said you are next in line. The dr ended up calling 2 more people back, by this time it was 1:15. I went up and told her that i had to go back to work, she never apologized for running so far behind. I finally found another doctor through refferals and when I called and asked them if they could transfer my records she was horribly rude. ( I know it was probably becuase i wasn't going there anymore, but they never did try and rectify the situation so I wasn't about to go back and give them more of my money). She said it would take 2 weeks to get them transferred. I called my other doctor 2 week after and asked if they had recieved them since i had not heard from them and she said the receptionist at Upstate Psych sent my paper work over but didn't include my name or address so they had no way to contact me. This is just horrible customer service and bad practicing on their part.
great doctors – the doctors out there are great but the staff (not all)ladies behind the counter are rude ,never heard a hello how are u to anyone . i called bout some medicine they put me on and was told to change my dose to see if it would help.so i did but made me run out early ,now nikki says its not her problem that i will be put until i see the doctor. she was very rude and was in a corner because she knows she is wrong for what she had done. they lost my file and she asks me when did i call thats not my job i pay hundreds of dollars to see this doctor and they cant even do my medicine right.why should i suffer and be tired with my add because of what they have done i guess next time i will have to ride up there and have her fill put paper saying take 3 not 2 u will run out early but we will fix the script at that time.
Brilliant and Insightful – I entered such a severe depression about a year and a half ago and realized that I was going to need medication to get through. I told him what I had tried before. What worked and what didn't. He managed to prescribe a combination that worked perfectly the first time, and continues to do so. Even realized that I've been suffering from mild depression for years. He's very straight forward which I appreciate, and incredibly insightful. Although I hope one day I may be able to function without meds, I hope he'll always be around when I need him.
