Me and my husband recently bought a bedroom set and a dinning room table from rooms to go. I was skeptical about purchasing from them after reading all of the terrible reviews. I told our sales person my trepidations and he understood. He reassured me that the only reviews that make it online are the bad ones. I can honestly say that i am VERY pleased with my purchases. He was very helpful and accommodated all of our needs. He even rushed delivered it for us NO CHARGE. We got our bedroom set and dinning table 3 days after purchasing them. The guys that came to set up all of it were also great. It took them no time at all. We are VERY HAPPY with everything. The rooms to go in cools springs TN is a great one!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER – Once you pay they care nothing else about you or what goes wrong. After 3 weeks from my order, I finally received the furniture. It took several mishandled calls to rude customer service people who obviously are unconcerned about inconveniencing you. Once I finally received the furniture, the power recliner DID NOT WORK! A call for a service technician revealed that there was one in my area only TWICE a month. SO a call to the store to request a refund went just as badly. The rude manager informed me that there was NO REFUNDS and that I would just have to wait for the repair man. After several minutes of arguing he states he will check with customer service and try to get me an earlier date. This was Thursday and I have yet to hear back from him. Bottom line is they got your money...you get to deal with the rest of the crap. Poor customer service, poor management, poor training and poor scheduling. How this companystays in business so long after reading all of these complaints. I urge new buyers to check their Facebook page, consumer affairs, and yelp in addition to this. Also on facebook, if you post a negative comment with no vulgarity, they will delete all of your postings and then block you. So much for being concerned about their customers huh? I only gave it a one star because i HAD to give it something in order to publish this review.
BUYER BEWARE – This company as a whole is horrible. The sales people are commssion based. Once you pay the service stops there. When something goes wrong, you get an honest technican who tells you it's broke, tries to fix it himself and if you have complaints you are referred to an 800 number. Noone has to face you. Noone has to help you.
The 800 # people are rude and mouthy and basically let you know that they aren't going to do anything about it and you are stuck with what you have. I have been trying for over 2 weeks to get them to help me and I am still stuck with a broken bed that was delivered and installed wrong and a mattess that is falling apart because of it.
There is no managers, no escallation department, no customer service at all. Sure the showroom is pretty but boy oh boy, if this is what pretty get's me I will pass! Next time, I will spend more and go down the street! Sprintz, American Signature, Ashley.. ANYWHERE BUT ROOMS TO GO!!!
Read reviews before buying – Think twice before buying from Rooms To Go.
Our salesman was really nice and helpful, but that's where is ended.
When our furniture was delivered, there was a problem with the sofa. After waiting several weeks they brought a new one to replace it.
Both ends of the sofa recline. Not long after we had it a couple of screws came lose and it had to be repaired.
Now the whole side is lose like it is about to fall off. I called customer service, and of course it has been just over a year and there isn't anything they can do about it.
He just said "Sorry".
They have pretty good prices on room packages, but the quality of furniture doesn't hold up very long.
rooms to go – so glad i read the reviews. have been looking around for a new living room suite and i know now that rooms to go will NOT be the place where i purchase my furniture. thank you consumers!
DO NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT..nor keep their WORD! – We had purchased a 4 pc livvingroom set from Rooms to Go approx 10 years ago and loved it, so we felt very confidant this year when we decided to replace it with a NEW set. The 3 pc set we picked out they only had the floor model left in the couch and chubby o wall chair and told us they could deliver the loveseat NEW from the warehouse. This was on November 8, 2008. We are POSITIVE the salesman told us there could still be a limited one year warranty on the furniture.
By November of 2009, we had noticed that the LOVESEAT (which came from the warehouse NEW), had ripped apart and the stuffing was coming out between the back cushions, the Chubby o wall chair was leaning to the left where the hardware had bent underneath, and the cushions underneath the leg area (all the seats reclined) were beginning to ball up ..on all three pieces.
When I called Rooms to Go approx one week before our 1 year anniversary, she told us that since we had purchased the floor model on 2 pieces, there was an "AS IS" written on the receipt which meant NO WARRANTY, and she would send a salesman out to look at the loveseat.
The salesman came to my home on Nov. 19 and took out a needle and thread and sewed up the rip, and unzipped the leg of the loveseat and cut up a cheap piece of foam and inserted it...that was all.
We paid over $1700 for this set and bought it due to the fact that we are foster parents and were getting ready to adopt a 2 year old boy
(we have girls). We specifically asked the salesman for a set that could take WEAR & TEAR!!
We WON"T shop here again!
Ripped Me Off! – We ordered a 7 piece sectional from rooms to go nearly 2 months ago. Over the past 2 months they have fumbled our order over and over again.
First, they sent us 5 pieces that had flaws. Some of the pieces were different heights than others, some had imperfections in the leather.
They have made a total of 3 deliveries and had 3 repairmen out to view the flaws on the sections. All 3 times the repairmen agreed that the couch had flaws, but their customer service refuses to replace the pieces anymore. They have already replaced 4 of the pieces, and the replacement pieces are worse than the original ones we got!
Currently 4 of the 7 pieces still have major flaws. The other 3 have flaws too, but we aren't worried so much about those. The 4 flawed pieces have been made with extra material so the leather had a lot of wrinkles in it. The pieces in the showroom have no wrinkles because it is a tight-style leather couch. Their customer service continues to tell us wrinkles are normal in leather. Well, wrinkles are not normal in this leather!
1. None of the pieces in the showroom have wrinkles.
2. The other pieces we have don't have wrinkles.
3. The repairmen agreed with us that this couch should not have wrinkles!
Rooms to Go has ripped me off!
NICE FURNITURE BUT SO NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!! – This was my first time to buy new furniture, so I took my time and did some research before deciding on Rooms to Go. They were having a great 'deal' of 3 years, No Interest and honestly, if it weren't for that, I would have backed out of my order weeks ago. My salesperson seemed very blase about the entire purchase I was about to make, which was a big deal for me considering the amount of money I was committing to pay. At the time of purchase, I explained in detail of my "out of the ordinary" drive-way (steep and bumpy) and was reassured it would not be an issue for the delivery people. Well, let me assure YOU that it was a very big deal. The initial delivery date was canceled once the semi truck saw the road ahead. So we decided on another date, and that alone took 5 days! And that was after being hung up on by RTG customer service! When they called to confirm the reschedule, she gave me absolutely no chance of asking questions, simply asked me if it was accurate, then quickly hung up. Never heard from my salesperson again (he made his sale, so what did he care). And the delivery company officially refused to deliver up my drive-way, even though UPS, Signature Furniture and FED EX have made and continue to make deliveries up there. They finally offered to give me my delivery fee back, which I still haven't received. AND, my landlord had to meet them down the drive-way and load his own van b/c they never made arrangements themselves to personally get my furniture to my door. This was always my problem, b/c I so dared to have a non-paved, out of the ordinary drive-way. So while the furniture is nice (make sure if you do go with them, to check it for scrathces, etc before they leave!) the delivery and customer service people are rude, careless and lazy! Please keep that in mind.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors – Discounted room packages with an assortment of matching furniture for bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, more; single pieces also available.
Horrible service – I ordered a coffee table from here...when the table was delivered there was a huge scratch right through the middle of the table. The men who delivered the table said sorry there was nothing they could do so I called Rooms to Go. Rooms to Go told me they would not be able to deliver a replacement table until a whole month later! I told them that was to late and that they needed to come get the broken table. They would not come get the table and I had to wait a whole month for some other company to come pick up the table from my house! There was no apology. Do not go here if you want customer service...
