Best place on 2nd ave. – This is the place our crew usually camps out on second Ave. I am not interested in trying new beers, so I could are less about how many beers they have on tap. I like it because it is the only place on second avenue that is not a tourist trap. On a weekend night, it is usually crowded and the service is slow, but the people that work there are really cool, so it makes up for it. Also beware, there is not much sitting room. If you decide to go downtown bar hopping, this is a great place to start!

The breathtaking beer selection keeps a steady crowd of regulars coming back to this downtown bar. – In Short
Located in the basement of Hooters, this underground watering hole packs in locals ranging from after-work suits to the college crowd. The impressive beer selection includes 50 drafts and 150 bottled beers, including popular suds from Belgium and Germany. Cigars are also available and it can get smoky. If you're hungry, load up on mini corn dogs, Cajun popcorn chicken and fried macaroni while listening to the bar's jukebox.

Devoted Patron – I've been coming to the Sellar since I moved to Nashville four years ago. The staff is an amazing group of people and always make me feel welcome. There are the hard core regulars, like myself, but then you mix in the tourists and a few of the college crowd and you have a great night. Yeah some ppl have a problem with parking, but hey it's downtown what do you expect, even it out by drinking 2-for1.

Try it – If you don't mind crowds and smoke and lemming-like masses of twenty-somethings you will like this bar. This bar is one of those places that you will probably like at some time during the week - even if you don't like everything about it all the time. It is a MUST for including on any Pub Crawl. (In fact, 2nd Avenue is all down hill from here - literally - so it is a good place to start. It needs to be expanded. It is about one fifth the size of the Beer Seller on the river in Cincinnati. (yes, there are OTHERS) That makes it almost impossible to get service on crowded nights. But hey, the staff is friendly, they just don't have a very good system for coping with crowds.

Good stuff – This was by far the most enjoyable place I've been to in Nashville. The staff and crowd were great and I can't begin to say how good the selection is. Next time I'm in Nashville this is the place I'll be.

Wheres the Beer??? – I went to the Sellar several times over the past couple years. I am from New England and am familiar with almost every beer on their menu. EVERY TIME I have been I had to order several different beers until I got to on they have in stock. Certain beers I have tried every time I went to get and they never have it. Seems to me that they don't have nearly as many beers in the fridge as are on the menu. If your looking for a Sam Adams or Fosters your in luck. If you want a Red Hook, Hoegarden or a Strawberry Blonde you may be out of luck.

Good place for heavy drinking – A nice alternative to all the traps along 2nd Ave. Tons of beers at a decent price, cool bartenders and a fun crowd add up to equal a place to easily do a lot of drinking.

Great Selection! – Given the location your only parking options are going to be metered or in a nearby pay lot. You will understand the name as soon as you find the place.

On a Sunday afternoon we were pretty much the only people there. The bar is not huge but there is a pool table, some golf/racing video games and dart boards to help you kill the time. There are also a few TVs to watch. The motto of Beer Sellar is "50 taps, 150 bottles, and 1 bitchin' jukebox". The array of beer options is impressive. You can find the usual macros, but also some more unique draughts like Arrogant Bastard, Young's Double Chocolate, Shiner Bock, Spanish Peaks, etc. The bottled selections are pretty much the same as you kind find at other well-stocked bars.

Tall Paul Rules!!! – I don't say this much, but Tall Paul rocks! He plays pretty much anything rock, old and new. Catch em almost every thursday night at the beer seller. A favorite of mine when in town.

Oatmeal Stout rocks – I love this place. The best beer selection of any bar on 2nd Ave.
