I like Williams-Sonoma's products much because their quality exceeds my expectations, but I don't like when they sell returned merchandise to their customers directly in store. I think it is wrongdoing, because people expect to buy new items not used ones. They can sell such items in lower price some outlet stores. Please, guys don't make your reputation down! It is shame for Williams-Sonoma's Name!!!

Upscale offerings designed to professionally style your kitchen. – In Short
Some of the most discriminating chefs shop at this upscale kitchen chain. Look for top-notch cookware such as Le Creuset and Calphalon, high-quality and high-end gadgets, bar accessories, bakeware, pantry items and cookbooks. Much of the store also spotlights gourmet foods, such as jewel-colored preserves, mustards, European cookies and, of course, Flappin' Jack pancake mix.

Gets My Vote! – The product selection is great! I've been shopping there for years and have always enjoyed discovering new gadgets and foods. I've always found the sales staff to be very helpful and eager to assist. I'm not sure why a frequent shopper there would not have connected with at least a couple of people to overcome a perception of snobbery. I was pleased to become familiar with one associate there who was finishing her Master's degree. She mentioned that most associates are parttime and that the draw to work there is the very generous employee discount (can be used also at Pottery Barn) and personal interests in cooking and selling fine merchandise. My assumption is that most aren't working there for the hourly wage. For the most part, I would give the store a 5 Star! The only negative would be store cleanliness. I will say, "Ugh". Most of the time the store is dusty/dirty, the register area is usually messy and dirty (food being cooked in the same area) and the restroom always appears af if it rarely gets cleaned.

favorite place on earth but depending on who is working, staff can be snobby – I shop at W-S all the time. All the time. My kitchen is fully stocked with Williams-Sonoma items. And not only that, but I use items that I cook with from their store -- vanilla, vanilla beans, olive oil, vinegar, you name it. So when you combine my online purchases with how often I go in (and it's a long drive) and gift purchases I should own stock. Of course the people that work there (making, what, minimum wage? a bit more? $10 an hour max?) don't know that. And it shouldn't matter anyway. IT SHOULDN'T MATTER IF I WERE GOING IN THERE FOR THE FIRST TIME TO BUY MY FIRST COOKIE CUTTER. If I go in there dressed in a pair of raggedy jeans and a Vanderbilt T-shirt and flip-flops, a frequent summer outfit, I should be treated like Ina Freakin' Garten. Yet, I'm not. I am sometimes to often to almost always treated like I got lost on the way to Target -- or Wal-Mart. Not always...every now and then a sales person acts like he or she is happy to have my business....but most of the time (at least in the Green Hills store) this is the case. Williams-Sonoma corporate or the Green Hills manager -- whoever -- really needs to teach them that you NEVER know who you're working with. (Oh, but the Williams-Sonoma product line is to die for.)
