An inspired blend of European and Pacific Rim flavors served in a serene setting. – The Scene
Erling Jensen and Jimmy Ishii, two of the city's best-known chef/proprietors, combined their talents to create this upscale, East-meets-West restaurant. Fixed-price menus may cost $50 per person, but for adventurous diner with impeccable taste there's nothing else quite like it in Memphis.
Soba noodles with mushrooms, poppy-seed seared tuna, and filet of beef in shiitake-bourbon butter are among the tempting creations one might find. Escargot in sake cream sauce, seafood, wild game, and lamb also show up regularly on the menu. The chocolate-green tea creme brulee is one of the most unusual desserts around. Fine wines are paired with each course.
Ecclectic Asian Influenced Restaurant – Elegant and Ecclectic
Great asian influenced dishes. Dishes had a wonderful presentation. The restaurant is quaint in size, so large groups may be an issue. This is a positive for dates. A must visit in the midtown area. The halibut dish was wonderful!
It is easy to miss this restaurant as it has a small front entrance on Copper. I passed it several times before I found it.
