BEST IN TOWN!!! HANDS DOWN. This is the most unique restaurant in memphis! no place in town can match the amience and food as well as jim's place..steak is unbelievable but the seafood is a delicious as well..if you get a chance you should try this restaurant and you will find out that you should make it an everyday occasion..lunch is extremely underpriced for all the food you get and dinner is very romantic
EXCELLENT!!!. This is by far the best steak in town. The seasonings on the filet make the thought of using any type of sauce rediculous, plus you can practically cut this steak with your fork. The seafood gumbo is also divine! So are the crab cakes from the appetizer menu. You have to be prepared to spend a little more, but it's well worth it. My hats off to this steak!!!
Best Overall Dining Experience. This is a special dining place for very special occassions. The steaks melt in your mouth and are simply excellent.
Overated. We were impressed with the ambience - that's where it ends. My dish tasted like a seafood potpie, the "broccoli casserole" was nothing more than frozen broccoli pieces covered in cheese. The salad and bread were good, but at this cost I would have liked to enjoy my entree. Oh yeah, my husband did like the ribeye. We won't visit again as long as they use inferior products and expect superior prices.
my favorite restaurant. although i moved away from memphis a couple of years ago, this still remains my all-time favorite restaurant! i have been here several times, with many different groups of people and each of them have been so wonderful and special. i came here with my entire family the night i graduated from college and with my boyfriend on the 21st birthday. the food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is awesome--it changes depending on the time of year/day. be sure to go during the holidays!
Make it special. Jim's place is one of those "special occasion" places, mainly because an average person wouldn't be able to afford eating there more than 2 or 3 times a year. For a romantic, elegant dining experience though, it's worth every bit. As a matter of fact, my fiancee and I got engaged there. Her exact words were "You couldn't have picked a better place."
WOW. Jim's Place was a great surprise! Had read about it and finally had the chance to dine there! Greek salad was wonderful and my steak was perfect. There were 30 in our party and no big problems in getting the food out correctly and promptly! Menu was diverse so that everyone found something! Didn't try any of the appetizers, but, boy, did they sound good!
Great Dining. Outstanding food, great service when we were there. Accomodated our mid size group extremely well. Very friendly service.
Attention Prime Rib Lovers. I recently dined at Jim's for the first time and I was really impressed with the whole experience. I love prime rib and Jim's is now at the top of my list. The 16 oz. cut was prepared and cooked perfectly. Also, the atmosphere was very relaxing and the service was great. Try it yourself!
The Place to Dine. You will never be disappointed at Jim's Place East. This is one of the finest dining experiences I have ever had and the filet just melted in my mouth.
