Reviews for Stonebriar Community Church

I have been a member of Stonebriar for about 4 years, driving 120 miles to/from Lake Texoma. After my first visit, I knew God had me in the right place, at the right time. I really do enjoy getting to visit with Pastor "Chuck" and share cartoons, some of which Stanley Toussaint's wife, Max, tells me are "corny". So much for my corruption of the Greek word "Koinonea", which I have titled as "Kornynea". Having sat under Dr. S. Louis Johnson, deceased, from Dallas Theological Seminary. I have a real appreciation for the Exegesis of the Word, which I find, in abundance, at SCC-Frisco. In this setting, I find myself more attuned to the Holy Spirit, both in the church service and in the Marathon Fellowship. Oh, I still find myself tempted to roam (my old sin nature) but, even that is becoming less and less, Praise God. Another enjoyment is the great musical (professional quality) talent to lead us in worshipful hymns. I have a long time appreciation for the "King of Instruments", most ably played by John Dill on our new, magnificent Allen Organ. It will blow your mind! So, I depart Lake Texoma at about

6 AM to make my weekly trek to and from Frisco. I feel that you, too, will be blessed with

your visit to and membership with us at Stonebriar Community Church, Frisco, Texas.

This Church is absolutely Lovable.......... I have visited a dozen times and have always been uplifted from the experience. Dr. Swindol, delivers a precise right on message which fills the void. His guidence in this place is blessed. This facility / Church is so beautiful as well, I invite friends and family to attend / visit with us as often as we can.

It is a Church home away from home so to speak. The new SUPER ORGAN is a masterpiece, and the Choral is one of my top ten to have ever enjoyed listening to. If you are wanting to spend a wonderful evening or Sunday service at a special place come to StoneBriar, you will see what I mean. The members are always in a blessed loving mood and love to share thier faith if you care to ask. I have never sensed any type of undo pressure form any member. I love the experience. Thank you Dr. Swindol, May God continue to bless you and this fine community church.

Warmhearted Loving Family, Reeks Of Health, Luv And Grace!!! – Could you hack getting USDA Prime Filet Mignon steaks dished out regularly? That’s what this place is like, but in a spiritual Way! Master communicator, Chuck Swindoll, delivers the best kind of groceries to the hungry and to the thirsty with excellence. He does this to bless, to nourish, to strengthen and to encourage his hearers, but he also does this with others in mind! Chuck does this primarily to glorify God!

Are you ready for all the counsels of God? The Bible says, “Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” (2 Tim. 4:2). That’s what happens here! Stonebriar is about putting the Jesus of the Bible first—preeminent in all things. This is a church with an unwavering commitment to Essential Christian Doctrine and the practical clear communication and application of God’s Word! Stonebriar Community Church (stonebriar[dot]org) is about worshiping Jesus Christ in Spirit and in truth as an ongoing seven-day-a-week lifestyle of practical righteousness ..and prioritizing this before serving him horizontally in helping people, though that is also very important to take part in. It’s about untiring expositional verse by verse Bible teaching with a deep devotion to seeing lives transformed by God’s grace as the people wisely apply what they are hearing.

This is a grace-church that doesn’t abuse Gods’ free grace. Of course “abuse” is an over used term today—America has way too many victims pointing the finger of blame and accusation. But many wayward, wandering and spiritually abused individuals have found their way to Stonebriar for full restoration in Christ. Jesus alone is the Answer here! Hey, this is not some “celebrity driven personality cult” of sorts. This is one of the soundest local Christian churches in the Dallas Metroplex area and in the nation! It is totally worth a long drive (or a short one) to get there and we all know that Texans can handle the commute. We’ve seen them come in from Waco or Tyler weekly.

The pickup truck driving pastor, author, Insight for Living (insight[dot]org) radio teacher, Dr. Chuck Swindoll, has been a good example for thousands young and old ..far beyond his Texas boarders and he has devoted more than four decades to winning people and then equipping them for humble Christian service worldwide. Sure he pushes the envelope with his infectious joy, jokes and laughter in a non-religious way (especially when asked about his sis, Luci Swindoll, who also gladly returns the favor tastefully), but he is consistently appropriate in every situation and gives the glory to God. Chuck is a non-greedy caring man of the Word that enthusiastically follows and proclaims Jesus Christ instead of himself. Please do not visit or pass through Texas without stopping by Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco some 30 minutes north of downtown Dallas!

God will change you, meet your needs and you will grow. @kurtwvs
