Not Recommended – The store was having a 50% off winter clothes sale, which sounded great. I went in to purchase winter sweaters. I found several. Most were around $5 each. But some were as high as $10. I also found a coat that was $40!! I can usually find sweaters at other thrift stores for less than $2 and a nice coat for around $10-$15.
I bought several wool sweaters. The next day when I washed them I noticed that every single one of them (only the wool ones) had holes in them (moth eaten), I called the store and explained and the man in charge did offer to give me 1/2 of my money back. But I live about an hour away and can't often make the trip to Garland. He seemed not to really believe me about all of them having holes, he said that doesn't have people who call the next day telling him that there were holes in all of their clothes. I tried to explain that they were wool and that moths will eat wool. I suggested that he get some kind of pest control for the problem. I'm not sure if he understood what I was trying to tell him. I will probably not be shopping there again. They do have a lot of stuff, and some nice furniture, but I'm on a tight budget and can't afford to spend money on things that are not usable.
I don't know if I will be able to make it down that way to get my refund or not. I'd spend $15 in gas just to get there to get my $15 back. I only ever go that direction if I need to take my kids to the doctor. So it just doesn't seem worth an extra trip.
