AAA – Christie's is at the corner of McKinney Ave and Allen St in Dallas,TX. At first look Christie's is just like most other sports bars, but try the food and you'll know Christie's is in a league of their own!
Christie's allows kids during the day. My kids loved the food there.
The stuffed jalapenos were awesome. They have home cooking- their chicken strips and homemade chips are really good,as well.
Great New Menu – Love the new menu Christie's has. Great choices that are really good. Love the burgers, fish tacos, pork stuffed jalapenos and shrimp garlic pasta. And with the new smoking ban it's not so smoky in there. I also love their new patio. A great place to hang out with friends or watch a game.
Tuesday nights! – Great place to go after a kickball game! Lots of people to meet! Fun place! The bartendars were nice even though the place was very crowded.
Never changes....at least not much – Christie's has been around forever it seems, and with the new makeover, things have gotten better. The addition of a real grill means hot food! Burgers! Steaks! The addition also means they have to pay for it apparently, so the food seems a little pricey for the neighborhood, not way out of line, but you'll pay more there for a burger than other bars/restaurants in the area. Service is usually outstanding, and friendly, and beer/drink prices are right in line with everyone else in uptown...
Love this place! – I've been going to Christies for ten years now and love it! It's the absolute best place to watch a game, especially when they cover the pool tables so you can crawl right up and have a seat. Very cool neighborhood feel to as well though. The "Cheers" of Dallas. Even if it's just you a couple friends in there for a mellow time, the bartenders are great and drinks are consistently "satisfying". Now that they finally have a grill, we can stop by for a burger at lunch and yes, they have healthy salads too. This is all around one of my favorite spots in Dallas. Keep it up guys!
Christes Sports Bar new look – Christies has a new great look! All new floors, surrondings & lighting so it's not so dark. The grill as finally arrived after 16 long years. Great new menu. Great front patio for traffic & people watching. New smoke units for the non-smoker. The Christie family has heard the customers and have tried to do everthing possible for a greater experience. The Big Screens are still the BEST in Uptown and the bar just added a new digital touchtunes jukebox for a much better music selection and great sound
No burgers in a sports bar? – Christie's is a classy sports bar in a great location with good food. They have the NFL ticket as well as the March Madness sports package, so you can watch more than one game at a time. The only problem we had was that they do not have a grill for making burgers! We were told that they would eventually have one. The food we had was very good, although the draft beer selection wasn't the best around.
We said they would come and they have. The grill is open and flowin'. The feed back back has been great so please come and try the new menu and let me now how it is.
Women beware the place is dirty, smoke filled, and grab happy. A little TP would be nice also. If that is what you want than you found it every night of the week.
I definitely am sorry that this experience wasn't a good one. The bar is clean and better smoke units and ventilation have been added since this visit. The grab happy we don't tolerate so if there is a problem let the staff know so we can do our best to solved any problems.
I hope to have another opportunity to make things right.
McKinney sports bar serves up an unpretentious atmosphere and good food that's easy on the wallet. – The Scene
Twenty-five TVs hang above an upscale bar, airing several different sporting events. The three main sections include a dining/viewing area with a big-screen TV in front that is flanked by a long bar on one side. A gaming area with four snooker/billiards tables and shuffleboard is sectioned off by bronze railing on the other side. Dark-wood paneling and a mural of whitecaps crashing into a rocky shoreline highlight an attractive interior.
Aside from its prime Uptown location, Christies has some of the best sports viewing in town. Patrons can see just about any game they want. The pool tables are regulation size and well-maintained. Golden Tee fans can get their fix on three different machines or play a game of pinball. The kitchen also serves good bar grub including honey barbecue ribs and an assortment of tasty chicken sandwiches.
good sports bar – We came here for lunch and the service was nice. I recommend parking around back at the square and walking over.
