Great items with affordable prices, nothing can beat a deal like that. I can always count on to this place because they have fresh meat and vegetables in here.

Not Wild About Harry's – After a couple of years of buying the Mort's Favorite sundae, I thought a mistake had been made when opening my "to go" order of two of these at home and discovering they were half the size they should of been....I called the Knox street store and the guy who answered informed me he didn't know what I was talking about, the size had not changed and then offered no further suggestions, like bring it back, etc...I asked to speak to the manager and she rudely informs me they discovered they were putting too much custard in 16 oz cups and now were using 12 oz cups (in reality probably 8 oz cups) and in order to not to raise prices were now giving a smaller size. When I said that by not informing the customer they were now getting less or giving the option of paying more for different size and that this is not a good way to do business, she hung up on me. I will never go back to Wild About Harry's because this is not only lousy customer service but is a dishonest way to do business. The current staff is definitely not the same friendly staff from years past. Especially the rude manager.

Great Diamond in the Rough! – Definitely a great hole in the wall. The hot dogs, the italian beef and the shakes are top notch. Rivals anything I've had in Chicago. Service was fast and friendly. Seating can be a little tight when busy...but any wait...is worth the wait. Highly recommended!

Great cheap food!!!!! – Accidentally stumbled upon this place while shopping and couldn't resist a meal at a place with a giant hot dog out front!!! Best hot dog and fries I have ever eaten I believe....or at least pretty close. Friendly family atmosphere......would definately recommend for a quick cheap meal!

Sometimes, its about the people... – Of course the food is great, I doubt you could find a better hotdog or frozen custard, but its the people who work there that make it worthwhile.

Its great to bump into Harry himself every once in a while, and everyone is so friendly, I would still be a regular even if the food wasn't as great as it is.

Bravo!

Best Frozen Custard Ever!!! – Wow! the best Mint Chocolate Chip ever! And the Savannah w/ chili is my favorite hotdog.

There are so many flavors of custard and several hotdog choices, even the hamburger hotdog is good.

My child loves the chicken strips, its fried, but your at Harry's so its all about FUN.

It's always fun for our kids, they love the atmosphere and music.

Always a treat to see Harry. And no telling who else you might run into.

Three words... Banana Pudding Shake – I have been taking my daughter there for years! It is always such a treat. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Harry's is kid friendly. If you are lucky enough to be around the store when they are making the waffle cones, I know first hand it is hard not to get one!!!

Chicago style hot dogs in Big D – Several years ago, my wife was bugging me about going to a hot dog place called Wild About Harry's, becuase she wanted to try their custard. She hates hot dogs and, up to that point, I only ate them at ball games. However, I'm glad her pestering paid off, as I was quick to learn that there is indeed a difference between a steamed Vienna Beef dog in a poppy seed bun than the standard thing you get wrapped in foil at sporting events.

The menu features a number of specialty hot dogs, not the least of which is the Chicago style dog, featuring sport pepppers, tomatoes, bright green relish and celery salt, among other toppings; you need a knife and fork for this bad boy. Personally, I prefer just mustard and onions, but occasionally I'll give a nod to my youth in Mississippi and have a slaw dog, which replaces cole slaw for onions in the former variation.

Harry's an Oklahoma native, and is always friendly with customers, particulalry my 5 year old daughter who he always recognizes and calls "sweetie". It turns out his own daughter and I were at the same college in Louisiana at the same time, and he once sold clothing to some of the stores in my hometown. The place is located fairly close to the well-heeled Dallas neighborhood of Highland Park, and there have been reported sightings of Ross Perot, Jr. and Troy Aikman partaking of Harry's dogs and homemade custard.
