Fry`s ripp off – Bought a brand new still in the box LG 42 inch led tv (flat screen} from fry`s, back in 2008, it was priced at $1499.99 on sale for $999.99, next they wanted me to buy 5 year extended warranty, and with a piece of mind I agreed, just in case I had problems they could fix it or replace my set as the sales person explained. Well here it is september 2011, I made a clam in early august that my television set has a problem, ( screen debonding)they sent a technician out to take pictures and sent in a work order form, one of those you can track from your home computer, a week later the process was completed, I called the 1-800 number, a young lady affiliate informed that it cost more to fix than the tv is worth and to go to fry`s customer service to find out what their options were. One week later I went into Fry`s to the service center and asked them about my claim, took a couple of minutes to round it up and told me it wasn`t ready and they would call me mid week, they called me mid week, on wed! said my tv was ready for pic up, so I go check them out the tv was a 40 inch tv not a 42 inch like I paid for, I ask why is this, they told me my tv was only worth 500.00 just as the new 40 inch. I said no way dude I paid alot more for my tv man, and even extended warranty, The guy went to inform the manager came back said that maybe there was a typo some where. I`m still trying to get my television replaced by fry`s electronics I promice that I will never buy anything that may require an extended warranty ever again from fry`s!
Getting ripped off – If you want o get ripped off come to Fry's in Dallas. The salesman lied to me about the type of projector that I was buying. I told him what type I was looking for and what I didn't want and he went in the back and brought out one in a sealed plain box that saying it was just what I was looking for. When I got back to the hotel and opened the box, the projector was what I had told the salesman several times That I didn't want. When I went to return it the next day they wouldn't even listen to me and charged me 67.35 for a restocking fee. I will have great memories of Dallas. great place to come if you want to get screwed.
