Great food, great service, phenomenal experience – This restaurant has been around for well over 30 years. My family eats there often, and never once was the food or service disappointing. The staff is great and friendly all the time, and the food is flawless. If you're looking for great Chinese food that isn't a cheapy buffet, then Bo Bo's is what you are looking for.
BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN TEXAS – Meing's Chicken IS SO AWESOME. The vegetables are all fresh and their fried rice is so DELISH. Usually, when I go to a Chinese restaurant, I feel like I've never been fully satisfied, but Bobo's China Restaurant certainly delivers. The staff is very welcoming and the service is beyond excellent. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone. The daughter of the owner works there from time to time and she greets every customer with a smile.
Great food, but be wary if using credit card – My mom lives in Houston and comes up to Dallas to see us and her grandkids regularly. When she was here about a year and a 1/2 ago we all went to Bobo China because it's walking distance from my house. However, after that visit she had several hundred dollars on her credit card billed for long distance calls to the orient. She thought it was funny, but had nothing to link to. About 3-6 months later she again went to Bobo China and within a week after again had several hundred dollars charged to her credit card for long distance calls to the orient. She remembered that when she used her card that they asked for her zip code. We assume that they targeted her because she's not local and they thought they could get away with it. I've used my card there and didn't have an issue, but I have a local zip code. It's possible that it's coincidence, but I wouldn't take the chance.
Excllent Choices for various Dishes – Bobo China has been in this location for at least 30 years that I know of. I have had many of the dishes, any of the Ming, Bobo, etc sauces are very savory. I particularly like the Mongolian Beef, but the real treasure for me is the hot and sour soup, can't find any better in Dallas.
Top Rate Chinese Resturaunt – I've eaten at this resturant for over 29 years. and have never had one complaint about the food. They have the best iced tea in town bar none in my opinion. Per the anonymous comment on Feb 13th, 2008 I think saying something like that is slanderous I know they have been closed for health inspection reasons before but for what is strickly an assumption. I could have been leaks or cracked tiles or what have you. To accuse them of being shut down regularly is simply a Lie!
The bite is much better than the bark – We found it by mistake, and were hesitant to try it out, but I am so glad we did. The portions are just huge, the food tasted great, and the service was great. Very nice people also. It is cool to take people there and see thier reaction before we go in, compared to after we leave.
So glad it is NOT another buffet!!! – Are you like me and tired of All-You-Can-Eat Chinese Buffets where all the dishes taste the same? It seem like that's all there is in Dallas. Coming from Los Angeles, the 2 things I missed the most were good Chinese restaurants and drivers who know how to make a left hand turn. Finally, someone suggested BoBo China on Church. To be honest, it didn?t look pretty on the outside, and inside is typical Chinese restaurant kitsch with unappealing plastic representations of the dishes on display in the entrance. But sometimes places like this are worth taking a chance on. Well, I sure am glad I did. Food was great, service prompt, and all at a reasonable cost!!! Take it from this Los Angeles person of Jewish decent ? BoBo China is where I will spend my Christmas!!!!!
Now, all I have to figure out is how to get drivers to turn left without the arrow :(
Been there.....Miss it! – I grew up on BoBo......have had good chinese all over the world, but nothing really compared to BoBo. For a refreshing ADULT beverage, I highly reccomend..."The Suffering B..tard". The food and atmosphere are what you expect from a family run restrauant. Many thanks for all the fond memories. If only I could get delivery to Kentucky!
There's got to be better in this area! – Bobo China is, at best, an ok restaurant. The restaurant is older, so the exterior is shabby and hasn't been upkept sufficiently. There are a lot of choices on the menu, ranging from typical dishes like Mongolian beef and General Tsao's Chicken to more traditional northern Chinese dishes like Braised Pork and Cabbage. Though the menu looked promising, the food was another story. The fried dumplings had a moist filling and the wrappers were al dente, but the dumplings were unnecessarily over-greased. The mandarin spare ribs were tough, chewy, and came with a confusing tomato sauce (maybe ketchup) that did nothing for the dish. The chicken fried rice was surprising fresh and not too greasy. But overall, there has to be better Chinese in this part of Dallas.
Wonderful – Bobo China is one of the best Chinese food restaraunts I have been to in a while. It had a bit of everything for everyone. My husband is picky when it comes to Chinese food but he loved this place.
