This company ( CPA ) has been harassing me for the past 12 months with lettes threatening to report an innacurate ballance owed to COmcast. I hav spoken with several people at comcast from general reps, to managers to the collections dept and everyone tells me I owe nothing. In fact Comcast recently sent me a refund because I overpaid at some time in the past.

When I call CPA they say that when they contact Comcast to dispute the ballance they are told I still owe money! Nobody at CPA is willing to tell me who it is they speak with at Comcast nor how they are getting their information. They are completely scamming people and reporting it to their credit report when they don't get payment that isn't valid. I have placed a complaint against the with the BBB and through Experian and nothing has been done since. CPA has reported it on my credit report 3 times in the past 2 weeks and it is severly damaging to my credit. This company has dozens of complaints regarding false debts and they seem to not care on bit. I hope the owner or someone else within the company understands that they have a big problem with how they are treating people and their credit report. When your company has dozens upon dozens of complaints when does it become apparent you are doing something wrong?

This is a legitimate collection agency. They are not rude to speak with if you speak to them with respect. They are only handling the debt you created and failed to pay. I just paid the last payment for a cable bill we never paid after a move. it was our mistake, yet we took care of it with CPA. The only thing I do not approve of, is that they charge a so called "Convenience fee" when you pay online with a credit card, it says a $4.95 fee will be charged. And then upon payment it takes you to the next page and says you have been charged a $5.25 fee. Just wondering how many people go through this, I am sure it adds up with the thousands that pay. I made a payment by phone last week with no fee, I called today and they said it is a 7.95 fee on the phone, I let them know last week there was not and the they replied that it was waived last week as a courtesy. I was like can you waive it this week? they said no they could not. So I went online to pay b/c the fee was only 4.95 supposedly and it turned out to be 5.25. Not much, but still , who wants fees... Could have been worse. Its free if you mail the payment, I didn't have time. Anyway. Stay Debt free, and you never have to deal with this stuff! Good luck!

You people are really idiotic. This company is NOT a scam! Maybe if you don't recognize any of those charges it's because most likely someone got ahold of your social security number and other personal info! They call people to advise them of the debt BEFORE its reported to give them time to either make arrangements or have time to file any claims if needed but if most of you idiots would answer the phone properly or actually take your time to listen to the agents rather than go on and on about how you've never owed anyone anything and then calling back 3 months later complaining because it showed up on your credit! And if the provider is saying they have a ZERO balance is because they never updated the agency after payments were made. Maybe if you paid your bills or took care of business properly rather than being rude and stupid they would stop harassing you idiots.

Con Artists! They sent me a letter demanding $371.83 for an unpaid Ambit account. I had to look Ambit up to see what it was. It's an electric company. I've never in my life had an account with them. I even looked to see if any of my old utility companies had been bought by Ambit. Nope! Con artists.

Fraudulent and Rude – I received two notices from this company concerning a Comcast bill. I lived in another state 41/2 years ago and had their service. Long story short I called this company to tell them this bill did not exist, where did they get the information on me? The man that answered and said his named was Bianca? Was beyond rude and told me at one piont to "shut up and listen that he didn't just pull this crap out of the air that Comcast turned it over to him to collect”,. Then demanded that I tell him my ss# or phone to verify my account. I told him I did not owe this money and wasn't giving him any information to which he replied "I have all your information already think about that". I told him I was calling Comcast and my attorney he hung up without another word. I called Comcast they told me it's a scam and do not tell them or pay them anything that I did not owe any money to them!

I guess I have fradulent charges too – I called the number on my credit report because it says I have 2 accounts through Mediacom, my local cable company. I got a phone number that was disconnected so I called Mediacom to ask them what their delinquent account agency is and they gave me a different number. I called it and they tried pulling up my info by social security number, name, phone number, and anything else they could think of. They have no record of me. I don't think I will be paying this company any money if I don't owe any.

Fraudulent charges??? – My husband and I have never had a Comcast account (they don't even service our area) and yet we just received our 3rd collection notice from CPA that says we owe Comcast $2219.11!!!! I ignored the first notice, thought about calling when the 2nd once came, and finally got around to calling their toll-free number when this one came. The call never went through - not even a ring tone. Judging from what I have seen about this company online, I am assuming they are a big, fat fraud. My one major concern is that they are actually reporting this bill to the credit reporting agencies, as the notice indicates.

Should I go ahead and order a credit report to see if they have put this on our record? Isn't there a fee to order an actual report? If anyone has a suggestion about what to do I would love to hear it! Thanks!

Don't pay them! – I have been receiving numerous letters and postcards from CPA stating that I owe Comcast over $200. I have a receipt showing that I paid the bill in 2010. Do not trust this company.

They are FRAUDS! – They have been sending me notices saying that I owe money for an account with Time Warner Cable. I contacted Time Warner Cable collections dept., and they told me that I NEVER had any amount due that CPA claims I do. Now this charge is also on my credit report. I have contacted both the Better Business Bureau AND the Texas Attorney General. See what anybody that can get ahold of your social security no. and personal info can do?
