What a JOKE – This place has been going downhill for years now, but tonite was an embarrassment. They were actually OUT of steaks. All they had were 8oz sirloins and after being assured by the waitress that these steaks had no fat or bone, lo and behold, they were riddled with fat and grisle. The waitress was right about there being no bone however. The waitress was a real sweetheart and my wife and I actually felt sorry for her. I wanted to complain to the owner but naturally he was unavailable . The poor waitress even told us he has no idea how embarrassing it is for us (waitresses) to have to deal with the customers about this . The worst thing was we paid over 27 dollars for this crap. My wife s plate was nothing but fat and grisle that she cut off. I wouldnt serve my dog this schlock. After years of coming here, tonite was the final nail in the Arlington Steakhouse coffin. We will NEVER come to this poorly run restaurant again, the absentee owner should be absolutely ashamed of himself.

Oldest Continually Operating Restaurant in Arlington! – The Arlington Historical Society will honor the Arlington Steakhouse on Saturday, May 15 with a city historical plaque in a ceremony at 5pm. This is the oldest continually operating restaurant in the city. It began serving steaks, hot rolls, cream gravy in 1931 and continues this tradition today. In the 1930's it was home to many gamblers who came to eat at "The Triangle Inn" when they tired of gaming down the road at Top O the Hill. The restaurant is decorated with vintage photos of the period. You can often feel the spirits of these long gone gamblers when you sit down to a piping hot meal. A visit to the Arlington Steakhouse is a real treat.

Great catfish - Big steaks - Recommended chicken fried strak – This is a"good 'ol boy" restaurant! Not fancy but good down home cooking, plenty of it and always fresh. The steak special is certainly a good value and the chicken fried steak is great and covers the platter!

Not A 4-Star Joint – But if your expectations aren't extremely high and you like old style, down home eating, this is probably someplace that would appeal to you. Not many people realize it, but the building used to the main train station for Arlington back when passenger trains used to run through the city.
