Anyone can say whatever they want about Central Animal Clinic...we have been with them for over 13 yrs. We live in Justin and it is hard for us to get there at times. We tried other vets close by but they didn't seem to care about our dogs the way Dr. Altman has. They called us to see how anyone of our dogs were if they'd went through a procedure. It is not all about the money..it is about love and care for our pets. Our Chihuahua Alley..a white deer chi...was having what we all thought was seizures. We had taken her to a vet close to home when her medical care became extremely urgent and never would have made it to Central. We should have chanced the trip. What we did not know till the day of Alley's death was that she had a blood disease called immunodeficiency... very serious...she passed away in my arms Jan. 21st.. after a blood transfusion that did absolutely nothing for her. I felt that rather then use her as a test animal...they should have told us it would be better to have her put down...or if she had a chance hospitalize her with oxygen to see if her condition would better itself. They never offered to even do so...it was like they did not care because she was 13 yrs and 3 months. They were sympathetic to our loss but it was all to late for that. I am still not over her loss...my Alley aka pork chop...will be forever in my heart. We have went back to Central because to us and our dogs, they are so very caring. I like when they followup with a phone call regarding our babies. We have since adopted a part Chi part min pin who is a rescue...she was abused. She will be 2 in November...and has since ate my sofa...chewed up blankets...toilet paper etc...we have disciplined this little rascal...and have gotten her over the chewing to a certain extent. Charlene is excellent with our pets she hasn't met Honey yet but knows Bocephus and Harley well. Don't take the word on these reviews of some customers who are disgruntled because they lack the communication skills to talk to people instead of treating them like peons. This Animal Hospital is wonderful..caring...and compassionate. They are very understanding and helpful...we love them and are back to stay...no distance is of no issue... I will trust no one else with my babies.

Thank you Staff and doctors

DO NOT GO TO CENTRAL ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! THERE ARE SO MANY NICE/COMPETENT VETS AROUND. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. my dog had to get an x-ray. We paid almost $400 for the x-ray and based on the result of the x-ray, Dr. Hultman said my dog needed a knee surgery which would cost anywhere from $2,000-3,000.

I wanted to get a second opinion from an orthopedic specialist. Central Animal Hospital gave me the HARDEST TIME!!! I had to deposit $100 for the x-rays and pay $10 as processing fee. Why would I have to deposit $100 for MY DOG'S X-RAYS THAT I HAD PAID ALMOST $400 FOR? GET THIS! Because Dr. H needs them for her record. She has to keep a complete record for 3 years. So MY DOG'S X-RAYS THAT COSTED ME $400 ARE HER X-RAYS FOR HER RECORD AND THEY ARE "HER PROPERTY." That's what the receptionist said "THE X-RAYS ARE OUR PROPERTY."

I called around and I didn't find ONE vet who did that. Most said, they use digital, so they can make copies for me. THEN, I CAN KEEP A COPY FOR MY RECORD TOO. Otherwise, they'd ask me to just sign a Release when picking up the original x-rays so they can keep the Release in the record in case I don't bring the x-rays back. At the Central Animal Hospital, I had to deposit $100, sign a RELEASE and pay $10 processing fee.

The orthopedic specialist tried to help me and get the x-rays transferred to her and she was not able to get them. Dr. Hultman won't release them to the specialist,,,I guess because MY DOG'S X-RAYS ARE HER'S. Not mine. She needs them for her record...BUT WHAT ABOUT ME TRYING TO GET THE BEST CARE FOR MY DOG? I'D LIKE TO HAVE A COPY FOR MY RECORD TOO. WHAT IF I HAVE TO MOVE AND GO TO A NEW VET? I paid $400 for them. If I need them, I can borrow them from Dr. Haultman for $100. I CAN'T KEEP THEM FOR MY RECORD. I CAN'T TAKE THE X-RAYS WITH ME TO A NEW VET...UNLESS I WANT TO FORFEIT $100 DEPOSIT.

I DO NOT recommend Central Animal Hopsital to anyone!!! Go to a vet up-to-date with digital x-rays so you can get a copy if needed AND BE ABLE TO KEEP IT FOR YOUR RECORD and take them whereever you may move to. UNRESONABLE PEOPLE at the Central Animal Hospital!! Remember your dog''s x-rays that you will pay alot of money for are Dr. Haultman's property.

Excellent, Intelligent Treatment. Best Care for Pet & Owner – We switched our Mini-Schnauzer to Dr. Sue's care after another Ft. Worth veterinarian missed diagnosing bladder stone symptoms for about a year and our dog ended up at the emergency vet on a holiday.

We were very well satisfied with routine checkups, shots, teeth cleaning, some visits for allergies, etc. and then our dog became ill while we were traveling in Asia.

Our friend took him to Dr. Sue where he had a lymph node removed for a biopsy and it was determined to be lymphoma. Dr. Sue interrupted her day to take our calls from Asia several times and explain everything to us. (We per-arranged emergency care for our dog while we are away).

We came home early to care for the dog. Dr. Sue treated our dog for the cancer herself, consulting with an oncologist in Dallas (where we took him only once) and at A&M. It would have been a long trip and great hardship to take him elsewhere. I did a lot of reading and I was satisfied with her judgement, the drugs used, the timing, etc. Nevertheless, the cancer did not go into remission. Drugs bought him only another 4 months.

Most every time we left him at Central Animal Hospital in Fort Worth for a treatment, he'd be happily sitting on the lap of the receptionist when we came to pick him up. He is a very sweet dog and the last few months he was getting kisses & hugs from Dr. Sue and Suzy , the tech person every time he went in for a visit. We were encouraged to call in with a status after every treatment, if anything changed, etc. And, also to call at night or on weekends if there was anything urgent.

It is quite obvious that this Fort Worth veterinarian and her staff really care about their patients AND about the owners. Over the past 40 years I've taken my pets to many different veterinarians in the DFW area that I thought were good, but none of them compare to Dr. Sue.

I highly recommend Dr. Sue Hultman. She is as good as it gets.

Sincerely cares! – Our small dogs and cat are truly family members. We are PICKY about our vet! We've tried several in Arlington and Fort Worth and have settled on Central Animal Hospital.

Dr. Hultman and her staff genuinely care about our dogs and cat. They demonstrate this through their words AND actions.

Our cat was recently hit by a car and we had emotionally prepared ourselves to euthanize her; but Dr. Hultman suspected that her injuries didn't warrant euthanization and wanted to do a thorough exam and some observation first. It turned out that she has made a remarkable recovery and is now back to her old self.

The staff is knowledgeable, polite, and shows the same level of care and compassion as Dr. Hultman.

The best vet and staff – The staff at Central go above and beyond to care for your pets. A couple of years ago, I found a stray kitten. I decided to keep him, and took him to Central where I was told he had feline leukemia. Being the owner of other cats, I couldn't risk their lives by keeping the little stray. I thought my only option was to put him to sleep. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make. When the staff saw how hard that decision was for me, they decided to keep him at the clinic until they could find someone who could care for him.

My cats have been patients of Central for over five years.
