Beer hall, wine garden and alpine lodge all wrapped into one Fort Worth location, creating an imaginary visit to Germany. – In Short
Bavarian interior styling unfolds into a large dining room. Dark wood paneling and a hardwood dance floor completes the scene of this German restaurant reminiscent of a good beer hall in the old country. The menu is just as complete. Authentic German plates include Knackwurst, weisswurst, red cabbage, and sauerkraut. The signature meal is Shashlik Edelweiss, a dish of chicken, pork or veal covered with Hungarian paprika sauce.
Authentic Bavarian food – This is the real stick to your ribs German and Bavarian food. The Beer is excellent and the atmosphere is intersting. This is a throw back to the fancy german restraunts of the 70's and 80's. It is decorated up as if you are sitting on the platz in a bavarian village. The waitresses are stout and the food is hearty. I missed the nightly entertainment but I am sure it would be a ball.
Fun atmosphere – If you like German food or would like to try something authentic, head over to Edelweiss. The atmosphere is so much fun, you can't help but have a good time. The sauerbraten is good and the dopple bock beer is EXCELLENT. We went early, but had another commitment, so didn't get to stay long enough for the dancing, but I hear it is worth the experience. Give it a try!
