Chinese Version of Japanese Food? – I went there on a weekday afternoon, close to 3 P.M., after an early day at work. The interior is average, non-descript. The waitress, though friendly, said that the lunch menu will "close in 5 minutes". O.K. So I ordered tonkatsu, something I haven't had for over thirty years (while I still was living in Japan), First, I got a salad, and miso soup. The salad's leaves were limp, with a kind of bland, sweetish dressing, a few sesame seeds thrown on it; forgettable. Soup (at least in Japan) is always served at the end of the meal, together with the rice... to fill your stomach if you are still hungry after having eaten the "good stuff". But well
worst sushi experience ive had! – DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Drive about a mile further down the road to ahoyama! I had gotten a free $25 credit to a restaurants site & they were on there for a $25 gift card so we figured we'd give them a shot. This was the 2nd worst experience I've ever had at a sushi place. The first was when I had gone here 6 years ago. No wonder we never came back!!! The chicken teriyaki my daughter & I shared tasted like rubber. The sushi was meh according to my husband & brother. The service was almost non-existent, the hostess played on her phone even though she could hear us while we wondering where our waitress was. Our waitress hung out with the cooks in the back. She didn't give us 2 or 3 of our orders of sushi & acted like she didn't know what we were talking about when we asked for it after the rest of our food had been out for 10 mins. Then she over charged our card when we paid, because she didn't pay attention to what she was doing. I always tip, but this was the one time I wish gratuity hadn't already been tacked on because of our restaurants coupon. The table next to us, a group of 4 guys were very annoyed & I overheard them talking about how bad the service was while I was dealing with who I assume is the owner because she was the only employee there who looked over the age of 21. We will never go back to this place; we will drive a little further & go to ahoyama sushi down 26. MUCH better food & much better service!!!!!
Tasty Japanese food while preserving traditional ingredients – Quality of Food
The most important factor in Japanese food is freshness of the food. This restaurant provides you with that.
If you expect to go to this restaurant to eat blend-taste food, you are wrong. The cook is brave enough to go beyond regular Japanese restaurant. Some of the food such as Andy's special is very tasty and spicy.
The cook and his wife are very friendly.
This restaurant is very clean.
