One of my favorite concert venues – I love going to concerts but I'm over paying $75-$125 for tickets at Toyota Center or Reliant Stadium. Even if you get floor seats, you can barely see anything and the musical experience is just not the same as when you can get up close to the stage like at Verizon Wireless. Some people hate standing during concerts but I think it's truly the only way to see a great concert. Get there early, get up as close to the stage as you want, and see your artist perform without the need for binoculars or a big screen to show you what you are missing. I've seen some great concerts here - Jewel, INXS, Seal, Jason Mraz, John Legend, James Blunt, Damien Rice, Katy Perry, Rob Thomas, etc. - but the best concerts are the ones where you get to get up close and personal. The prices are also more reasonable than at the big venues. I usually pay $35-$50 a ticket for a Verizon Wireless show. Not cheap but it won't break the bank, and it's great to have some entertainment that's not your usual movie.

eh... – I went to Verizon Wireless to see Seether and Shinedown back in January 06. The show was great, the bands preformances were top-notch, but the the VWT wasn't. The place was just nasty!! The only thing I enjoyed from the facility is the fact that there are no bad seats, vision wise. They are crampt and very uncomfortable for a long show. The facility can really drag down a performance.

This versatile space can accommodate a mosh pit, an intimate cabaret or a traditional theater production. – In Short
As part of the larger Bayou Place entertainment complex, the crowds can be thick and parking a challenge. But you really can't beat the Verizon for its wide selection of entertainment choices and Bayou Place as a whole for pre- and post-concert entertainment and refreshments. Although there's really not a bad seat in the house as far as unobstructed views go, don't be surprised if you're crammed into tightly packed rows of seats for some productions.

Worse Downtown Experience!! – The seating in this theater reminded me of parent's day in an elementary school. Cramp, close seating with short leg space. Most uncomfortable experience in a long time. Combined with the poor audio system it was difficult to enjoy the play. So much so, that we left during intermission of Casino's opening night. In my disappointment, this experience was immediately shared with my wide email network. My rating for this theater is a MINUS 5!

HANG ON THERE...... – Look here people.... The No-Camera Policy is put up by the band. They call that rule day of the show. Plus do you want you favorite band getting blinded and then fall off the stage.....END OF SHOW. The sound needs some working on. The security guys do THEIR job well. They don't tell you how to flip THEIR burgers at your line of work? Searching at the front door is a MUST now a days. Anyone remember 911? You can't be too laxy-daisy now a days. That's all I have. For NOW. When the ticket says SHOWTIME 8 P.M. that does not mean get there at 8:30 and wonder why they started EARLY?

Basketball Gym – Its like a High School Gym. Verizon has poor sound poor seating bad sightlines dirty bathrooms and its expensive. Houston has very few good places to hear music. The best is the Woodlands Pavillion. How much did the people at The Verizon pay to have it chosen as the editorial best.

The Best – The best place in Houston to see live music. There is not a bad seat in the house. Also, a great place for a party.
