AMAZING Bead shop!!! – I've been shopping at Carl's Bead Shop for 25 years, and am amazed every time I walk in the door. This shop keeps changing with the times. The jewelry is always fresh and fashionable. And there are beads for every price range from semi-precious stones to clay beads. The service is wonderful. The people who work here know the stock and are willing to work with you to create whatever you have in mind.
Recently I took a box full of old jewelry that belonged to my mother to ask Carl what to do with it. Much of it was not valuable except for sentimental value. He suggested cleaning and restringing certain pieces...changing clasps on others; offered some unique doublers to use others as shorter necklaces, and then in a few instances suggested some were worth the money to add some special beads and restring. I had expected a monumental bill . . .it was less than $200.
This is a special store with special products and special people. It is a treasure trove of beautiful beads and jewelry. You should spend an afternoon here.
Best Bead Shop in Houston – This store has the largest slection of beads in Houston. You may have to ask for help as I usually do, but once they help you they stay with you to ensure you get what you want and go out of their way to assist!
I have been to many beads stores in Houston but find they have the largest selection of beads. I would like to see them have a wider range of clasps.
To Bead or Not to Bead ? – This is the most well know Bead Shop in Houston. The location is great because you can shop and then enjoy lunch...and more shopping !
You have to love the rows and rows beads. Everything has its place, and the selection is amazing.
The display cases always spark my imagination. The staff is there to help you attach that clasp or restring a necklace that you already have.
If you enjoy making your own jewelry or if you just want to try something new then you must stop here first.
It will definatly make you want to bead a special necklace.
Express yourself with do it yourself jewelry and beads from around the world. – A pirate's dream
Walking in here feels like stumbling on a smuggler's cave. Fixtures
painted ebony, the store glints with beads and necklaces from every corner of the earth. A needly crystal necklace showcases a turquoise chunk resembling a meteor. Hefty amber nuggets look like rich lumps of cheddar cheese. A rope of clanking silver tubes remind that beads, for many peoples, are bank drafts.
Good enough to eat
Time to creep toward the innards of the store, pausing to touch the tiny
Buddha charms and smooth kakui nut pendants. A broad table carries pots of glossy, rounded baubles, all edible looking. Tiny tunnel-shaped beads recall lima beans. There are mustard colored pellets, black licorice-like cylinders, balls with glowing specks of tangerine and wheat. And you haven't even reached the amulets. Need a Lilliputian cow skull? A coin? A Cupid? Almost all the objects in
the store are pierced. All you do is string them into a statement.
