Unconventional museum is a treasure trove for car buffs and fans of the offbeat.. In Short From the front, the Art Car Museum looks like some sort of hybrid of structures from the "Mad Max" movies and the ice planet Hoth. Rings of silver barbed wire loop above the covered walkway, the roof is marked by metal spires, and silver spikes adorn the trim. Muster the courage to step inside, and you'll see a sampling of Houston's finest art cars, possibly Jim Harrison's Jet Car and Larry Fuente's truly frightening Rex Rabbit. Vast numbers of photos chronicle various aspects of this automotive art.
