Rose was a breath of fresh air. They have a new bartender that was fun and uplifting. Something ever bar needs during the daytime. I will definitely be going more often.

No disappointments possible at Bogart's. The friday night live entertainmment is unbelievable - up close and personal by top notch bands. One of the best formats for a small, cozy neighborhood pub I have ever experienced. It is well ran by a professional staff offering outstanding service, a clean facility and fair prices. The east side of Houston has nothing comparable to Bogart's. The crowd ranges in the 30 to 40ish age group and has always demonstated a friendly and repectable behavior everytime I have visited with easy smiles and warm laughter. Just a few visits and you feel as though you are a part of a family. They tell me to invite only my best friends. I think the customers feel they actually own the place and hold something very unique and dear to themselves. You will meet a full spectrum of society that puts on no airs and carries their relationships outside the pub. I can't imagine anyone having anything but a good experience at Bogart's.
Invite your friends only to this place. Best kept secret on the east side.. Very unique and friendly place. Good service with fair prices for a full service bar. Security cameras in the parking lot are a great plus and a comfort. Fantastic live music on Friday nights with no cover charge! They employ a professional staff which are very attentive. Everyone seems to know everyone else but are not cliquish and welcome newcomers easily. I'm suprized Bogart's isn't known as the "hot spot" on the east side. The location is probably the reason. You'll need to be invited there just to know where it is. It seems to be part of it's charm though. I've seen Mean Gene Kelton, Kelly Shoppa, Patrick Murphy and Professor Blues Band on Friday nights which is quite a line-up for a small neighborhood bar. Texas Hold'em is played on Sunday afternoon and Tuesday night for those who like poker. Karaoke comes on Wednesday night anad Saturday night that includes $500 contests on occasions. There is no shortage of fun activities it seems. It's not a dance hall, a game room, a sports bar, a pool hall or a Karaoke bar, but they do a little bit of everything, and they do it well. It is located right behind the Sellers Bros. supermarket in the rear parking lot of a large strip center. I don't think anyone would be disappointed wiith a visit to this very unique bar.
Best friendly/family feeling bar in town.
I have been to alot of bars around texas and bogarts is the only place i can't get enough of..The atmosphere is always welcome. The personel are more like family than employees. The owner Bruce Cobb
is more of a brother than a friend to anyone who enters either it be once or is a daily patron the didication never wavers..The entertainment will satisfy all types of music lovers. So dust of your dancing shoes and make a night of it at Bogarts....
Very friendly, a real hide-away with an excellent variety of live music and other entertainment. For a small neighborhood bar, it just does not get any better than this. Activities range from Karaoke and open mic to Texas Hold'em and pool/dart tournaments not to mention a full spectrm of live music including Rock, C&W, Motown, R&B, Blues, Jazz, Hip Hop...you name it. Big screen TVs keep you in touch with all the sporting events when you're not out on the dance floor. It is hard to find if you've never been there but that does keep the rift-raft out and gives it a safe and friendly atmosphere. The decor theme is old hollywood as you might imagine which complements a very unique feature of Bogart's. The service bar is over 100 years old and was salvaged from the old Balanese Room in Galveston, TX. Built in 1904 by the Cleveland Cabinet Co. it is said to still have bullet holes in it from those heydays. Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, Dean Martin and many others have leaned against it at times in the past. Bogart's is the kind of place you go if you don't want to be found and easily make friends. Once you find it, invite only your best friends.
