Pappasito's Cantina, famous for Legendary Tex-Mex, has the look of a border town cantina and the feel of a fiesta. Pappasito's serves up our legendary sizzling fajitas, hand-crafted margaritas and some of the best chips and homemade salsa north of the Rio Grande.
We never compromise on quality. All of our mouthwatering dishes are made in-house daily from only the freshest ingredients. We offer traditional Tex-Mex items like nachos, enchiladas, tacos and handmade tamales as well as delicious specialty items like our succulent filet mignon fajitas, tender pork ribs, or our famous shrimp brochette.
You can always find the fiesta in our full service bar! We’re famous for our Margaritas - each handcrafted to perfection! All of our juices are hand-squeezed daily from the freshest fruit. Open for Lunch & Dinner, offering To-Go as well as private Party Rooms at many of our locations.
Terrible, Rude Service – I've been to Papasito's one time and plan to give it another try, but I have to say my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw the fish I'd ordered was 20 dollars. I figured "OK this better be the best fish I've ever eaten." While it was well spiced, the fish was very dry, broken up, small, and served with a very very tiny portion of burned veggies. I was very excited about their chips and salsa, but I was a little disappointed with that also. We saw our waiter minimally, once when he dropped off our drinks, and again with our food. Our drinks were never refilled until we asked the waiter and he was very short with us when we asked him to fill them up for us. After a huge annoyed sigh, he finally brought the tea jug around and filled our drinks quickly enough to spill a bunch on tea on me. He never said he was sorry and never came back after that, until we were leaving, when he followed us to our cars and demanded to know why we did not tip him more than we did. I'd never been so insulted as to have someone who clearly gave bad service demand more money out of my pocket, even after we paid a 50 dollar bill for a couple pieces of dry fish and some guacamole. I've thought for a while weather or not to go back, and decided to give it one more shot. Anyone else would have never gone back.
It really is just average – Let' s just say they have good salsa and tres leches, and as for the vital tex mex dishes, they fall very short. The enchiladas and the fajitas were mediocre and yes, way overpriced. The wait can sometimes also be long. The hosts there are really bad. And please even if you want a job really bad and you want to pay for rent, don' t ever get a job at papasitos because they are really rould. I mean someone came in for an interview and the host said with an enthusiastic smile, " Are you here for working in the Summer?!" and the interviewy said with great relief "yes". Well the next thing you know the host says stone faced that they aren' t hiring. And after that man left he kept on doing that and laughing. I guess that' s all. Just don' t eat there for Tex Mex and as I witnessed, a job interview.

Brace yourself for the noise, circus-like atmosphere and, during peak times, a long wait for a table. None of which has discouraged diners who have made this chain popular in Houston. Who can fault sizzling platters the size of manhole covers, great value and seemingly indefatigable service? Tortilla soup, Pappasito's famous fajitas and shrimp diablo are all worth a try. If strolling mariachis who sing "La Bamba" every five minutes get tiresome, escape to the pleasant patio.
Over priced average food – Pappasito's was great when they started, more food than you should eat, but they have just gone up up up in price and the food quality has gone from good, ( never great ) to just average. Maybe in New York they would be a great Mexican Restaurant but in Texas they just make average. Don't plain on talking to anyone at your table as the noise level is about equal to the average saw mill or a 747 at take off.
