Down-home thai you can eat everyday – Basic family style Thai dishes - my favorite being the crispy fish with spicy tamarind sauce, steamed whole fish, pad thai, pad see ew noodles, pad thai noodles, pad ka prow (green beans with ground pork and basil), and mango with sticky rice - just like the Thai make at home.

Delicious food, great prices, fast service – I have eaten here many, many times for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. The cafetera-style lunch is great and is especially good if you're in a hurry. You get rice, your choice of 3 dishes, and soup for about $4. The pad ke mao is good and spicy. The tiger cry beef salad is a must! Service is prompt and attentive.

Great food for great prices... – I tried this restaurant out because it had some decent reviews on here - I was not disappointed. The service is a little lacking (we tried to ask about menu items and were ignored for a while) but the food and the prices make up for it. It's also a very clean-looking, modish restaurant, so I was pleased with that aspect. The Thai tea is good (so many places are disappointing) and so is the Pad Ke Mao (excellent, oily, but that's to be expected, $6). Some reviewer mentioned a buffet - I didn't see anything of the sort, only a cafeteria-style line which my friend ordered from. The food from that line was also good with a decent variety, especially the amount for the money ($4.50). It's pretty packed at lunch time too.

best lunch deal in houston – This place has an amazing lunch buffet for 3.75. You get a ton of rice, choice of curry, stir-fry, fish, vegetables and it is so much food I am usually overfull when I leave.

For dinner, I enjoy their crispy fish as well as pork dishes.

An awesome deal. This thai spice, and the one on richmond are the only ones I enjoy because they are at least semi-authentic. The one in Rice Village - the dinner special at least - is very lacking.

Also, you know this Thai Spice is truly asian because only asian people eat there for dinner.

Excellent food that is spicy! – I love this thai restaurant! I always get noodle dishes. They just remodeled the place and added a salsa bar. Their dishes are so flavorful and addicting! If it doesn't already come spicy, I ask them to add spice to my dish. They make it thai spicy and not american spicy--sooo good! I usually order off the menu and get either the Pad Thai, Pad Ke Mao, or the Pad Se Eaw. They get pretty busy at lunch time and have a buffet style lunch in addition to the menu where you can choose a few items for a cheap price (about $4 total i think?)!

Yum Yum Yum – Even though Thai Spice is a chain, its Bellaire location is truly authentic and satifies your mouth with what Thai food is really about -- a burst of flavors. My favorite is their Papaya Salad - a mix of freshly grated green papaya, green beans, chiles, and tomatoes. You get hit with sweet, spicy, and refreshment all at the same time. Walk up to your counter and order from their visual menu on the walls or from their paper menu. The Thais staff is extremely friendly. You definitely get great value here as the prices are cheap but the food is not. Try their Tom Kha Gai - an authentic chicken coconut soup that will bring tastes of sweet, sour, spicy, and salty all together. Another can't miss is their fried crisp fish with sweet and sour sauce -- you won't regret this Thai dish.

good stuff – one could almost call this a hole in the wall, but it is still good. you can not beat the prices. some of the dishes are as low as $3 or $4. their curries are tasty, but potent...especially the green curry. don't forget to try the deep fried fish with their special sweet&sour sauce or the steam mussels.
