SERVES LEFTOVERS WHEN THEY OPEN – I will never return to this restuarant. I decided to pick up something to eat when they opened for the day. I decided to order the chicken. Worst mistake, the server took out a piece of chicken that was wrapped in plastic (this should have been a red flag) and proceeded to cut it up and place it in the take out container. The chicken was dry to the bone, the broccoli/rice casserole was watery. I was being served leftovers, unbelievable...I was disatisfied with the whole meal. I guess I will stick with Pappas BBQ down the street! If you decide to go to Lyndens, don't go when they first open for the day, go for dinner!!!

Bone Dry Beef – I have eaten here often but this will be my last time. The beef must have been sitting there over a day it was so hard and dry.

Service is uninterested and unfriendly. New building is nice but it does not compensate for bad service and bad food.

Has this place changed ownership or has the owner just lost interest?

Lyndon's Has Moved – It is now on Hollister. Took the family tonight and wasn't very impressed. We're spoiled because my son -in - law does a better pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. I don't understand all the raving over the sauce either. We didn't try the cobbler because it appeared doubtful that it was homemade.

The prices were right, and they have a great selection of sides. We also didn't get there til almost 7pm, so the meat may not be so overcooked earlier in the day. And, they do not skimp on the meat portions,

It's worth a try if your in the area..

Best Pulled Pork South of Memphis – As a guy from Memphis where Porky's BBQ set the standard for pulled pork BBQ, Lyndon's has set the standard in Texas. I live in Friendswood and make the trip usually to buy their BBQ sauce by the gallon to make my own pulled pork at home and everyone loves it. Hell, you could put that sauce on cardboard and everyone would love it. At the restaurant, the service and food are consistently excellent. The restaurant crowd in not your typical BBQ joint crowd found in Houston. This place would probably be even more successful if it were in mid-town or the Galleria, the product is that high-end.

Best BBQ in the NW Houston AREA - Family Owned and Operated – Excellent food - the ingredients are fresh and the bbq sauce is friggin' magnificent. They serve more than ample portions (remember folks - the US uses double-triple portions, remember??) and they play classic country so bring your nostalgia for Patsy and Hank. As a former resident of the area, I now drive 50 miles each way from Clear Lake just to enjoy their tasty dishes. I highly recommed you give it a try, they have something for everyone, including the fresh baked pies and cookies for after wards. (Also - they do serve beer for you thirsty folks - in addition to sodas and tea).

It's all in their bbq sauce – Expensive. 3 onion rings for 2.00. I have eaten much better barbecue where they don't penny anny you to death. They are very chincy on their meat and weigh everything. I do love their bbq sauce. I go there to buy the sauce and take it to my favorite bbq place and use it. Hey, works for me.

They play this really old country music and it does not digest well with the meal. I live near there and eaten there about 6 times. I gave them a chan

Smoke Out – Good BBQ. I just wish I didn't smell like BBQ smoke every time after I visit Lyndons. Pulled pork and Ribs are great. Fried Catfish is also recommended.

The food and ambiance of this Northwest barbecue joint will make you feel like you're in the Texas Hill Country. – In Short
Modeled after a Texas Hill Country barbecue joint, Lyndon's Pit has a farm-themed interior with vintage photographs, old Texas license plates and framed doilies. The menu offers beef brisket, chicken, sausage, pulled pork, fried catfish and shrimp gumbo. Sides include Southern-style casserole, green beans, potato salad and barbecue beans. For dessert, try the peach, blackberry and apple cobblers, vanilla ice cream and cookies. The drink menu includes Southern faves Big Red, grape soda and A&W root beer.
