Truly Horrible - keep away! – I have lived in Italy. Nothing at Fornos tasted anything like authentic Italian food. That being said, I like Americanized Italian food as well. This was not a good version of that either. The lasagna had so much cheese you couldn't find the pasta, the calamari was served with a very weird sauce and the bread was the only part I thought was worth eating. It was just plain white bread...

I was disappointed in the service too. Our waitress did not tell us the specials or soup of the day or recommend a wine for our meal. In fact she seemed to want to say the least possible and have as little contact with us as possible.

The only redeeming quality was the quiet atmosphere- probably because it's terrible and no one wants to eat there! Even then, the music was a bit annoying.

Worst Italian food I've ever had – Why is the editorial review for this place 4.5 stars? Absolutely the worst Italian food, possibly even the worst food overall, I've ever had from a restaurant. The eggplant tasted like fish and made me naseous. The Calamari was a joke, was mostly batter. A trip to McDonalds or Long John Silvers would have been more rewarding. The "wine list" consists of grocery store wine at ridiculous prices. The waitstaff was horrific. There seemed to be ONE decent waiter there, but he was working another table. I would recommend everyone to Stay away. Horrid.

Worst Italian Food in Houston – In Houston we have some really bad Italian food, but Fornos tops them all. You will be served Rolls, not artisan bread. We are talking like Pillsbury rolls, terrible. And the food is worse, the calamari was tough and chewy, Alfredo sauce tasted like something out of a Campbells soup recipe book and finally the tomato sauce tasted more like Mexican salsa.

You may very well enjoy this restaurant if you like your average run of the meal terrible Italian food. This restaurant is equivalent to Italian Tex-Mex.

Worst Italian Restaurant, Horrible Food! – It was my first time going to this restaurant with my group of friends, we really didn't know what to expect , we ordered some wine, had some appetizers, the stuffed mushrooms caps which were ok, and the cheese bread which was not good at all. The marinara sauce they serve tastes like if they poured straight from the can.

My friends and I ordered the sicilia calzone, the chicken cordon bleu, the chicken ravioli and the veal picatta. This was the worst dinner we have ever had. The food was disgusting, we didn't eat any of the food.

The service was bad, the waiter never came back to check on us, to see if we were doing ok, he came to our table until we started waiving at him, this was a horrible experience, Never plan on going back ever again.
