Delegance Houston was great! – I recieved a gift certificate from a friend. (the friend did not know I had a bad experience at this salon the year before) I reluctantly went in to use the gift package she had purchased for me. I have to admite I was scared but did not want her money to go to waste.
The place has changed so much, they have new service providers that where brought in from the new director. She has really improved the whole experience.
Houston Location – What a great day I had at the spa! The new director there has made such great improvements! The whole experience from when I walked in the door till I left was fabulous! I recieved a really good deep tissue massage from Madiline, then got a very relaxing microdermabrasion facial from Peggy. I was offered wine, white or red ( complimentry!) I chose red and drank my wine while recieving my pedicure and getting acrylic full set. Jazmine is so sweet and does really good nails. I was checked out by the director herself, she even gave me a little gift bag with free samples in it.
I will be back to the Houston location and will tell all my friends about it.
finally found my hairstylist – Found my stylist I meet at Bushwackers purely by coincidence. I went to Bushwackers only to find it had closed and happened into D'Elegance and Christina happened to be working there. It was so good to see Natilie and Daniel there as well. Christina recommended I see Peggy the facialist for a Brazilian and she was right great job!
TERRIBLE MANAGEMNET! – I would suggest that anyone considering this spa for the first time go spend their money elsewhere.
I purchased a gift certificate for a friend mid april which was to be mailed to her....its now may and she still had not recieved the card. When the salon was contacted they informed her they couldnt find the card in the system but they see her name?? ok odd enoug she had to call back several times w no solution.
I was so irritated that I called spoke with a very rude manager who hung up on me twice intentionally and i kept calling back and gave him a piece of my mind letting him know that he's very unprofessional and rude that i was still talking when he simply hung up the phone. after emailing him the confirmation email one of his employees called me back to let me know they have located the card and my friend is now (a month later) able to come redeem it.
When I asked to speak to a manager the same rude man I spoke with earlier gets on the phone.. I said you're the manager? Didn't I just speak with you? Yea .. He was mummbling and stuttering when i asked what the problem was "well maam it was not confirmed at the store only online" which would only make sense since it was purchased online... I told him that i was not at all satisfied with the experience so far and that his rude behavior and lack of customer service skills were only making the situation worse...that I will never ever use their services again or recommend anyone else to this unorganized....rude and scaming place he said "ok have a nice day" and hung up!!
I am not sure how the actually service at the spa is but i would never recomment this place to anyone ....its a waste of your time and money and instead of it being a fun and relaxing experience they intentionally make it as stressful as possible.... That poor excuse of a man...manager needs to look into a profession that involves no contact w people whatso ever especially direct contact with clients.. I am still in shock at the way I was treated by a business that claims to be #1 not sure how they have any customers or employees for that matter! Hope this helps!
Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! – I thought this place would be a decent place to go to - close to home and gives the appearance of looking nice. But that's the only good thing there.
I tried striking up a conversation with the stylist and she didn't care to talk to me. She'd rather talk to the receptionist! Uh hello! I'm a new client! You need to keep my interested in this place.
For the rest of the time, I watched her cut my hair. I asked for a layered cut with 2" off the bottom. She did fine on the bottom layer, then cut the next layer too short, and tried to recover it by cutting less than an inch off the rest of the layers! When she checked the lengths of the layers, I easily saw how much longer the top layer was compared to the bottom. I didn't even want her to attempt to style my hair afterwards and I don't know why I even left her a tip.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! NEVER AGAIN!!!
My Mani was incredible!What a great experience! – I had a great experience here!I walked in off the street for a manicure and was greeted by a very polite blonde man who opened the door for me and introduced me to the receptionist (beautiful green eyed french women)who instantly set up my manicure and wisked me over to the manicurist!She was a very demure young asian women who was well spoken and quickly got to work on my nails!After 45 minutes of labor, my nails were filled ,buffed and polished to perfection! I will be back and next time I will be having a haircut after seeing some of the work created on other clients!I thought the staff was nice,friendly,and they all made me feel very comfortable! The interior was a bit kitchy but this is Houston not Milan,Paris,or New York! I really enjoyed the staff and if you ask me that is were the true beauty of this salon resides.
Dadagirl is right !Candice and Daniel are the best! – Dadagirl is right!I have been a client of both of these two for about 6 years and I will not let anyone else touch my hair! I had to get past the decor of the spa but would be willing to go anywhere these two would work because I look so good when I leave.Considering the fact that Bushwackers closed suddenly in less than a days notice due to poor new management, I am just so glad to be able to have access to both of them and I am amazed they were able to find a "decent "location so close to the former salon so quickly.Don't be fooled into thinking that these two are anything but truly talented professionals!Good Luck you guys! I am a client for life!
Daniel and Candice are Excellent – Daniel and Candice are two of the newest members of D'elegance Salon and Day Spa.Formally of the now closed Bushwackers team these two have over 38 years of combined experience that thier clients have grown to love.They are both quite busy but are always more than willing to squeeze you into thier full schedule!For great progressive color and cuts ask for either one of these guys and you won't leave unhappy!
only the owner would call it a #1 spa – there is nothing elegant about this place. I booked a few services online with my credit card. The first problem was the receptionist. She had no sense of professional verbal etiquette whatsover. Also, she called me THREE times in one hour saying she needed my credit card information to secure the reservation I had made. I told her they already had it online, but she said it doesn't matter since the computer only lets her see the last four digits. Okay? And then she tried to charge me $50 for a shampoo-and-style, which is ridiculous considering I have shoulder length hair. She finally relented to lower the price to $30, which is whats advertised on their website anyway. I asked my hairstylist to give me slight waves. After maybe 15 minutes of blow drying my hair outwards, she informed me that my hair is too straight to do that style and that she was finished. I was speechless. I pretty much paid $30 for a BLOW DRY. If that wasn't bad enough, halfway into their lame version of a "spa" pedicure, the technician working on me was told by the manager that she was needed elsewhere. So off she goes, and a coworker sits down to finish the job. She did apologize for the confusion and was nice enough .... but this place is clearly disorganized, and the owner could care less about the satisfaction of his patrons. When I told him that I was displeased with his business's idea of customer service, his response? Don't tip then. And go somewhere else. I wish I had. I really do. I did leave 20% gratuity (my standard is usually 25-40) for each person who worked on me, because its not their fault the place is terrible. But I will never be back, and I hope anyone considering wasting their time there will read this review and think twice.
