Great Clinic!. Wondeful clinic -- everyone is so nice and really care about their patients -- they are also straight forward with the pros and cons of any medical situation, side effects, care, etc. The staff was wonderfully caring when I lost my 14-yr peke -- you and your pet are not just numbers here. When I took my new puppy in and having never had a Cavalier before, Dr. Hopper was very thorough going over the breed's known medical issues with me, a recommended diet, heartworn preventatives, etc. I wouldn't want to take my little Bentley anywhere else!
San Felipe Animal Clinic. I have been taking my pets to San Felipe Animal clinic for at least 15 years, and would never take them anywhere else. Both of the Drs. I have taken them to, in the past (Runnels) and now (Hopper) are very passionate and caring human beings. They treat the animals as if they are their own. The office assistants and staff are also wonderful, friendly people!
Best Veterinarian in Houston. A few months ago I moved to Houston. I do not have any family or friends here, so I have had to figure out everything on my own little by little. Since my experience with me last dog was traumatic I had sworn I would never ever have another dog again...then along came Maggie. She was found at a rest stop near Laredo, Tx on 59. She had a loose stomach, a fever, and a tracheobronchitis. I did as much research as I possibly could to find a good vet in Houston, but could not find any references on vets. Then I stumpled onto this clinic. I reluctantly went with my newly adopted resue animal and received the best service ever. From Kathy, the assistant, to the doctor, James Hopper. He absolutely did EVERYTHING in his power to help my Maggie. Unfortunately, Maggie had canine distemper and dispite our attempts to keep her well, she passed on. The amount of comfort I recievied from the staff and specifically Dr Hopper was unprecedented. I will forever be grateful to him and his staff for giving my Maggie the best care and attentions possible. My grief over my loss is a long way from passing, but if when it does pass, I should decide to get another dog, there is no other vet I would ever consider taking my dog to. Aside from that, regardless of all the treatment he gave her during 6 weeks, the bills were more than reasonable. Actually, in comparison to other vets, I thought they were charging a bit more on the inexpensive side. He even took the courtesy to call the Neurologist to discuss Maggie's case without any additional charge. I owe Dr Hopper more than he knows and he will never be forgotten my me.
Dr. Hopper is the Best!. Dr. Hopper is amazing! He is great with our animals and spends the amount of time with us that we need to make sure all of our questions and concerns are answered. We have a dog and a cat and I highly recommend the clinic for all animals. The other Vets are also good. The staff is super friendly and very helpful as well. Everyone at San Felipe Animal Clinic has helped us and our four legged family members through everything from emergency situations to annual check ups. They make us feel like our animals are just important to them as they are to us and you can't put a price on that. Speaking of money, I find their rates to be very reasonable. They aren't the highest or the lowest and you get more than what you pay for in their kindness and care of your special friends.
Best Animal Vet. I went to San Felipe Animal Clinic and saw another Vet and was not to impressed with that individual. The next time I went I asked for another Vet and I was introduced to Dr. Hunt. Immediately I was impressed with her "bedside" manner. I felt she really has a passion for animals that really put me to ease. I have recently found out she is no longer at San Felipe Animal Clinic but I was found out where she went. I would recommend her highly.
User review by nilla_ice. Dr Hunt has been a god send to my 15 year old Chinese Pug. She has accurately treated his urinary/bladder infection and he's a happy dog again.
love 'em. I trust my animals' life with these guys. All the vets at this office are wonderful. Often they make me feel like they love my animals almost as much as I do! A little pricey, but worth every cent.
