NEVER AGAIN – Had Dinner with a Friend.

Food was OK.

After Dinner my Friend told me Not to Tip the Waiter. When I asked him Why Not, He went on to Tell me that the Waiter doesn't get to keep it.

Not Believing what I was hearing I called the Waiter over

to find out for myself.

Sure enough, the Waiter went on to tell us that he doesn't get to keep

Any of his Tips..

WTF... THE OWNER KEEPS ALL THE TIPS...

This is BEYOND GREED... And is HIGHLY ILLEGAL...

I will Never ... NEVER RETURN ...

And I hope someone DOES something about this Place.

Don't support these Greedy People.

How would u feel if your Boss took money out of your pockets by Keeping your TIPS????

Favorite in Houston. – I've been coming to VC for about five years now, and I still love it as much as I did when I went on a first date there. The man I went there with now lives with me in DC, but he still picks up my favorite dish and brings it back on the airplane whenever he has to go to Texas.

VC is lovely - calm, quiet-ish, has a sweet staff, and, Oh! amazing dishes. I say this as a vegetarian who knows only meat-eaters. I've brought parents, friends, sisters from all over the country to dine here - and they all still bring up the food. Tofu with Garlic Sauce! Here is a dish even meat-eaters adore! The fish dishes I've tried are amazing, the vermicelli bowls are incredible. Basically, this place haunts my dreams and I'm gonna post up there next week when I'm in Houston.

Awesome food. – Everything I've had there has been great. The pho beef noodle soup has the best broth I've found in this part of town.

My boyfriend said their pad thai was less than stellar.

It's not that the staff is rude, not at all, they just seem busy, and not willing to make the effort for friendly customer service. The girl who refills my water is the nicest person there, and always smiles when I say thank you :-P

Cute place, great food! – I went there with two friends for lunch. It is a cute, small place. It is very clean and the servers are attentive and fast. The food was delicious. We really enjoyed the egg rolls (cha gio) and the stir fried beef tenderloin (bo luc lac). I will definitely go again!

Best vietnamese egg rolls!! – This place has the best Bo Luc Lac and vietnamese egg rolls. I have tried several different restaurants and will even travel the distance to go there now that I live in Downtown. The service is great and it's a small place with a great intimate atmosphere. Very clean and best service. I can't get enough of it and even order for takeout when I can. This place is definitely working hard to maintain truly good quality food. I love it!!

Good food and Service – The original reason I went there was b/c It's the closest pho restaurant to me. I usually go down to Bellaire for vietnamese/chinese food but service was always horrible, and i sometimes worried about cleanliness. Vietnam Coast on the other hand, i am very impressed with, and would highly recommend b/c it's inexpensive, is professional, friendly, and has quick service.

Easily the most addictive restaurant in town! – After 15 years of dining out in various viet/chinese restaurants in the houston including various bellaire chinatown joints I think we've found our "go to" restaurant. They've cut their menu down to better service the favorites - you have to try the house vermicelli soup - its a Thai twist on traditional Fa - almost like a Tom Yum shrimp soup. Its not quite enough for a big eater but its sufficient for a light lunch. Their other entrees are very good if not spectacular. Will suit most pallates except those wanting blander sweeter ameri-chinese fair (which we cannot stand!)

Fabulous – I was addicted to Pho in Seattle, WA and when I tried the Pho here it was just as good if not better. The ambience was very nice and the restraunt was nicely designed.

Does ANYONE eat duck necks? – A few days ago I tried this restaurant for the first and LAST time! I ordered the Duck Noodle Soup (and other items totalling $50) togo, and technically I did get duck .... only it was the whole neck of the duck cut into 5 pieces!!! When I called to complain about this, the hostess - who took my order - did nothing to resolve this problem. I was put on hold twice and the only answer I kept getting from her was: "Sir, you did get duck." Sorry, but I am sure I am not the only one who does not appreciate a dinner consisting of pieces of the bird's neck. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!!
