Sushi without an attitude – Ginza is one of those hole-in-the-wall kind of restaurants that you might not take a second look at. But once you go inside, the experience is totally worth it. The sushi menu is great and the service doesn't have any of the snobby, trendy attitudes that you might find at other sushi restaurants. Best of all, the prices are reasonable and the place is friendly.
Ginza is a great lunch place, so if you're going during the week be ready for a crowd, but if you get a chance to stop by you won't be disappointed.
Food is awesome and costumer service is top of the line – We fell in love with this place the first time we went there...now its our favorite sushi restaurant in the city...
This place is not for the trendy ones, but for those who like to sit down and have dinner or lunch on a relaxed atmosphere.
Sushi is of good quality, prices are average, and service is courteous and quick.
Great Food and Service – Great sushi and even better service. I came in simply to place a to go order and sat at a table watching one of the TVs while they prepared my order. They brought me water, and apologized for the wait, which was all of 5-6 minutes. Needless to say I was very impressed with the attentiveness for just a to go order. The patrons dining were also receiving prompt attention and service. I work in the area and will definitely return.
The Best Customer Service in Houston – Great sushi and outstanding customer service! Ms. Karen NEVER forgets a face, and goes out of her way to accomodate any special requests. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Need to go – I like going to Ginza. The food is always excellent. The staff is extremely courteous. I consider it a must.
Good restaurant – The food is very good, I have been going there for a while now and have always liked all the food. its very fresh and the food is quick to come.
Best Sushi – This is by far the best japanese restaurant I have attended. The tempura and sushi are excellent. Furthermore, the service is great. Make sure to try their green tea ice cream.
customer service.... – The oldest waitress doesn't know what the Gyu Don (rice covered with beef) is!!!
I saw there is Ten Don (rice covered with fried shrimp) $7.50 on the menu and would like to know if they have Gyu Don. She kept telling me they have Udon and even gave me an attitude like I don't know how to order Japanese food. After I explained to her what Gyu Don is, she said they have Sukiyaki Don but she doesn't know how much. She went to ask a guy and then told me it is $7.50. I ordered one but when I got the invoice, the price was $17.50. For a small bowl of rice covered with beef, onion and konnyaku jelly noodle, it was extremely expensive. I asked her if the price was correct and she insisted that she told me $17.50 and gave me that attitude again.
I have been there few times and found the food is not worth the price.
Scallop Nigiri: I have tried twice. Both of the scallops were fishy, not fresh enough.
Yakisoba: I have tried once. The Soba (Japanese Noodle) was dry and all broken into pieces.
Spicy Tuna Roll and Spicy Tuna Hand Roll: I have tried twice. They were too salty and the Japanese Seaweed was soggy (It should be crispy!!!).
Even though the ambience feels like authentic Japanese restaurant, don?t expect you will get the food as same in Japan. Anyway, you can go give it a try and see if you like it. If you go, please try the Sukiyaki Don and share you opinion if it is worth $17.50 and hope you don?t get served by the oldest waitress.
Always Fantastic! – Ginza is our favorite! My whole family agrees it is the best, freshest sushi in town and also the most fairly priced. It seems to be family-run and the same staff has been in there for the past couple years- a very good sign. Some of our must-haves are the Ginza roll, clear seafood soup, and tempura yellowtail roll. The scene is welcoming and relaxed and the staff is prompt. Traditions are kept such as the warm hand towels the minute you sit down. Everything is delicious- you definitely need to go!
Ginz-tastic! – I am a regular at Ginza an think it is the best place to get sushi in Houston if you are looking for quality sushi, good service, and most importantly - authenticity!
This is the only place I know of where you can get miso ramen! This is the best ramen in town.
I recommend the spicy tuna rolls, negi-hamachi rolls, peppered tuna sashimi, and their sea eel is always good.
