Molina's Westheimer is the best Mexican food and margaritas in town. Service is amazing, too. We bring kids and meet friends on the patio where the kids love to play. Outstanding!

Don't order the soup - it's the worse ever – I decided to try the new Molina’s Cantina that just recently opened on Bellaire Blvd/Stella Link. It was a cold January day so I ordered a bowl of chicken soup (caldo de pollo). I couldn’t believe what I saw when the soup was brought to my table. First of all, the bowl was only half-full. I hate to think what I would have gotten if I ordered the cup of soup instead of the bowl. Then I noticed that a few small, diced pieces of chicken were swimming in red water. There was nothing else, just about a teaspoon of diced chicken in red water, no vegetables, no onion, nothing. On the side of the bowl was about a tablespoon of Spanish rice and a few slices of avocado. I think this meal was worth $1.00 instead of $6.50 that the restaurant charged. When I complained to the waiter, he said this soup was made differently, it was not like the soup I have at home. The waiter did not even offer to bring me something else or at least say he was sorry I was disappointed with the meal – nothing. The waiter was so rude – just answered everything with “yes” or “no” and never smiled. I asked if I could at least have some tortillas to eat with the soup since I needed something else to satisfy my appetite. He came back with a few tortillas and threw them on the table, without saying a word. Also, the margarita I ordered tasted awful – it had a bitter taste. I didn’t complain about that – I just wanted to leave. When I returned to work and mentioned my experience to my co-workers, some said they tried the Molina’s on Westheimer and the food there was awful. Well, you can bet I will never set foot in a Molina’s again.

Molina Maniac – This is by far the best nacho experience of your be had here. Nancy Ames Nachos are simply the quintessential nacho. There is no better.

The queso is lighter and yummier than most velveeta blocks served around town.

Fresh salsas and marinated carrot/onion/jap and the most hot and delicious yellow corn tortilla chips goodness are brought out until you pop.

I have driven from Austin to Houston just for a fix to eat at Molina's. Now that I am back in Houston full time, I am there weekly.

The Washington Ave. location is kewl too, as they may very well possess the Dos XX in town.

..but the one that rocks my world in the Westheimer location...perfect everytime.

A Legend Continues – Don't miss the cheese enchiladas here! I can see the reasons Houstonians keep coming back to this place and have for many years. Reliable food and great ambience and a complete menu selection.

Just OK – We were not impressed with the silly atmosphere nor the shot-glass-size maragritas. The food was nothing spectacular. You'd be better off somewhere else. You're not missing much.
