In August 2013 my unit, along with several others were broken into. Despite the fact that they have cameras the lights were not working and the cameras recorded nothing. So they let me move my stuff into the next unit, and upped my rent from the 88 that I had been paying to 90. I didn't complain. Now I regret it because of the horrible experience I had when I turned in my unit. I cleared out everything but a large piece of glass that was about my height 5ft, and it probably weighed as much as me. I told the redheaded guy at the desk everything was out except for the glass. He told me the unit had to be completely cleared out or I would lose my deposit. I told him I didn't mind (as it seemed fair to me because I would have had to pay someone to move it). He told me he did mind, that he wasn't the janitor and that I had to get it out myself. To be helpful he let me know where the dumpster was. I told him that he was bigger and a man, but I'd figure out how I, a 5ft tall woman, would move it by myself. So he comes out to see the glass and says he can't move it by himself lest he injure himself, I said "No let me move it, cause if I injure myself that's OK." So he tells me he needs to go get a sledge hammer to break it into pieces and leaves. I'm a single female, which means no husband, no boyfriend, and my dad happens to be disabled. I called my disabled father and he said he will come out with someone to help me. So the guy comes back, and I tell him I've called my dad and he is on this way with someone. He tells me to step out of the unit and he breaks the glass, tells me he will take care of it and offers me a ride to my car. I'm so upset; I refused. I walked back to the office by then I'm in tears and I tell him all I want to do is sign off on any paperwork and leave. He tells me there is no paperwork and I'm free to go. Is he serious? this guy gives me a hard time on account of he's not the janitor just because he can.... I cried the whole way home. I wish I had gone elsewhere. I don't recommend them to any single women like me.
