Filth, screaming children, and sub-par service – Love filth? Enjoy screaming children? Like the edge-of-your-seat suspense of ordering something and having NO idea what you'll actually get? You'll love it. This place was actually pretty good about 10 years ago. Things have changed. Service is slow. And bad. For some reason, everything tastes a little like ham. The average table has about 2 adults and 10 screaming kids. Every surface in the place is sticky -- the walls, the floor, the menus, everything.
If you want decent food in the area, go across the parking lot to Chili's. Even better: Head across the street (to the Best Buy shopping center) and check out DiMassi's instead.
Tasty home-style meals and down-home kitsch abound at this family-friendly restaurant chain. – In Short
Though its country decor has been modernized by sleek table lamps and wall hangings, what arrives at the glossy wood tables is nothing but down-home, classic comfort food. Crusty chicken-fried steak with white gravy, slow-cooked pot roast and meat loaf can be paired with the restaurant's namesake vegetables and come with a homemade biscuit. Sweet fruit cobblers, served in a bowl or cup with ice cream, are what Southern grandmas are famous for.
