very lousy attitude!! Food is Americanized and SOSO!!!‎ – My fiance and I got a coupon (one entree for another one free) so we went there for a try. We reached the restaurant about 8:30pm, they already closed buffet service and started eating their own dinner, although it says the restaurant is closed at 10pm. So we sat there for about 10 mins, nobody was caring us at all. We had to get up, walked around and found a lady to ask her if we could use that coupon. She read it and said YES.
Then a guy approached us with very stiff face and impatient attitude, asking us if we've decided what to order. We said not yet, then he just ran away without asking us about drinks! Luckily I called him and stopped him. To save the trouble, I asked for water only. Then he even saved lemon for the water. NEVER MIND. We ordered fried rice and noodle (forgive our "poor basic knowledge about the definition of entree" - as what the claim exactly the lady later said to us and embarrassed us). It turned out the rice was too dry and the noodle was just OK!
We only finished half and when we wanna pay the bill with the coupon, the lady was VERY unhappy!!! She totally ignored us and kept calling and talking very loudly with her colleagues, waving our bill and coupon in a very bad way. She told us that fried noodle and fried rice are not entrees. We told the lady that we did not know because the menu did not say. Then she said, everybody else should know and we have poor basic knowledge! She kept walking out of her counter back and forth 3 times to check the coupon!!! I was SOOOOO embarrassed. Her attitude and her other colleagues' attitude are extremely HORRIBLE! We paid the full amount and left. I was very furious. Can't believe it!!! Very bad attitude, soso environment, and soso food!!!!
FYI, we both are Chinese too, got such service and horrible treat in a Chinese restaurant, we even felt WORSE!!!!
Change of Heart... – Update: 5/27/10:
I will leave my original post so you may see why I had a change of heart here. My husband and I stopped in for a quiet lunch today. It was almost 2 in the afternoon and the restaurant was very quiet with only a few customers. Upon arrival, The girl at the desk led us to our table and left one menu. We weren't even seated when a waiter came over with a crabby look on his face and asked what we wanted to drink and then left with our only menu. I called out to him and he ignored me. I called a bit louder and he scowled as he brought it back. We mentioned it was only one and he just walked off. My husband went back to the desk and got another menu. When the waiter returned to take our order he seemed put out by us questioning him about a few of the dishes. We order the Chicken Curry and Beef with Broccoli lunch platters. The soups came right away and were so-so. While we were not halfway through with the soup, the meals showed up. He never asked if we needed anything, not a smile - nothing. He cleaned a few tables nearby so loudly that it sounded as if he was dumping the dishes into the bin. The meals were not as tasty as they used to be. The Curry had frozen peas and carrots that had freezer burn on them - YUCK! The fried rice had lots of clumps of white rice and tasted like pure soy sauce. Before we finished the waiter with the scowl brought out the check. Never asked if we wanted dessert or anything else. Didn't see him anymore. No matter how nice we were - he still scowled. When we went to pay the check, the girl at the counter never asked how things were and she didn't smile either. (Neither did the girl next to her) She wouldn't even look at me - just said Thank you Sir as she toyed with something beneath her counter and handed my husband the receipt. TOO MANY RUDE PEOPLE HERE TO BOTHER GOING BACK - AND THE FOOD WASN'T WORTH THE HASSLE!!
One of the best Chinese restaurants in North Houston. Buffet is hot, fresh and with plenty of choices for a great price. Staff is always attentive. Have never had a bad experience here....even the take-out is great!
